You will manage engineers who specialize in a variety of systems including League client, game code, and back-end services. You will work with leaders to refine the team's long-term vision, and the organizational plan to support it. You will report to the Initiative Director in our office in Los Angeles.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and socialize an engineering vision for the team
• Work with other leaders to create a long-term organization and staffing plan that supports product goals
• Interview and recruit new engineers
• Support the engineers with your own deep engineering expertise
• Support engineers' careers through mentorship and identifying growth opportunities
• Manage a multi-disciplinary team's health and performance from a place of empathy
Required Qualifications:
• Experience building and operating software at scale as a Software Engineer
• Experience in a team leadership role, either as a manager or technical lead
• Passion for people management and growing engineers
• Experience in Agile processes and continuous delivery

As a Technical QA Analyst II on the Game Loop Team, you'll be the quality owner for the team. You will set testing requirements with the product owner and engineers, holding them accountable to their commitments. You will own the quality, functionality, performance, reliability, supportability, and usability of core services for League of Legends. This includes matchmaking, ranked seasons, champion select, and other backend services. You will guide the implementation of static, dynamic, and verification testing processes and help design tools to improve testing. You will ensure the execution of all test coverage within your product space and report on product quality. You'll represent the player experience and report to a Gameplay QA Manager.
Responsibilities:
• Create test plans, test cases, and maintain the team's holistic testing strategy
• Coordinate with external partner testing teams, overseeing and guiding their work
• Triage live incidents and run RCA's for critical issues
• Partner with Software Engineers to maintain documentation on technical systems
• Create tools to improve testing capabilities within the development process
• Manage the defect database for the team, setting and enforcing best practices
Required Qualifications:
• 3+ years Software Quality Assurance Experience, with at least 1+ in a technical quality role
• Proficient in Test Strategy, Planning, and Design.

The prototype should demonstrate the core mechanics and functionalities of the game, including character movement, interaction, and basic game progression.
