Who We Are Looking For:

This role will require someone who has:
• Expertise in compliance with European privacy and data protection laws, including the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK GDPR
• Knowledge of the upcoming EU data regulations such as the Data Act (DA), Digital Services Act (DSA), Digital Markets Act (DMA), Artificial Intelligence Act (AI Act), Data Governance Act (DGA), and ePrivacy Regulation, and their overlap with the GDPR.
• Knowledge of data protection law globally
• Experience assisting digital services and/or technology companies on matters related to privacy and data protection
• Experience working for or with European data protection authorities (DPAs) such as the UK ICO, the national courts enforcing privacy rights and data protection, and/or the European Court of Justice
• Experience conducting or complying with regulatory audits
• An understanding of privacy as a concept, product, and industry
• Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills

Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Economics, Business Administration, or Management
• LLB preferred, but not required
• 3-5 years of professional experience involving expertise in European privacy and data protection law
• Regulatory or judicial experience preferred
• Familiarity with online advertising and its privacy challenges preferred

Own and keep under constant review all the firm’s global data protection compliance

arrangements to include updating policies and guidance, centralizing processes and putting in

place robust, time-bound remedial plans where necessary.

- Develop and maintain relevant global internal data privacy policies and training.

- Inform and advise the global firm on the Global Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and its

Job Summary/Purpose :
Responsible for data governance, classification, and security across the data lifecycle in close collaboration with the wider ISRM team and external stakeholders (e.g.: DPO, Legal, etc.).

Your Key Responsibilities
- Define and manage policies and standards related to Data Security across the data lifecycle (data collection, classification, processing, storage, and destruction).
- Classify the data as per Sandoz's information classification policy and facilitate management of data-by-data owners in other Technology functions and in the business.
- Track compliance against relevant data security and privacy rules and regulations, in close collaboration with regional ISRM, Legal, and DPO (Data Privacy Officer) colleagues.
- Maintain data processing operations records and monitor for data integrity issues.

- Determine Data Archiving strategy for systems and regularly archive information stored.

- Mandate disposal of data that is no longer needed, in a secure manner, in accordance with information security standards and provide / check evidence as required.
