Launched in 2002, the website offers breaking news, analysis, current affairs, politics, sports, technology, entertainment, lifestyle and viral content. Apart from news, the website also includes live streams of Geo TV channels and on-demand videos. Geo.tv has a large readership in Pakistan and around the world, with a focus on South Asian news and current events. The website is owned by Independent Media Corporation, which also owns several other media properties in Pakistan.
Geo Tv dramas are the only entertainment medium in Pakistan that neither shows vulgarity nor violence.
