GCGC (GITAM Career Guidance Center) is a strategic initiative aimed at guiding, training and assisting students with the best career opportunities. To execute this mission GCGC operates across three major verticals Competence Development, Career Counseling and Mentoring, and Career Fulfillment.

The Director- Career Fulfillment, GCGC, will head the Career Fulfillment vertical and be responsible for improving the profile of Career opportunities available to GITAM Students.

Roles & Responsibilities:

· Execute a strategic outreach plan to engage with Corporates’ in cities across India to create a strong positive brand presence for GITAM in the mind-set of potential Recruiters.

· Work closely with Campus Teams / Directorate of External Relations (DoER)/ Other Directorates and Academics Leaders to explore long term relations with Corporate Recruiters including but... not restricted to:

· Promotion of Brand GITAM through CMO

· Ensuring visibility of GITAM talent pool to Corporates/Research organizations/Funding agencies

· Establishment of satellite centers in industrial hubs to corner opportunities for all streams

· Extensively Network with CXOs, HR Leaders and Corporate HR Community and leverage these relationships for the benefit of GITAM University

· Representation of GITAM in all industry / HR associations/events

· Coordinate communication with Academic Departments to ensure that the career fulfilment team is meeting the needs and desires of the academic departments of the university especially pertaining to Internships/ FDPs/Industry Visits / Guest lectures, Research and Consulting opportunities, etc.

· Regional/National partnerships with Government or CSR Initiatives

· Association with Organizations including TiE, IIT-Tech Parks, EDC of India, etc

· Internships/ FDPs/ Visits / Guest lectures

· Convert new accounts through structured market outreach designed to ensure that Placement opportunities at GITAM are in line with our vision of being a Global Leader in education.

· Consolidate and maintain a database of corporate connections of the University across all three campuses.

· Set up and monitor the effective functioning of a Career Fulfilment team that extensively reaches out to corporates to represent GITAM as a recruiter of choice

Skillset / Professional Background Requirements

· Exceptional Communication Skills

· Highly Organized and able to manage complex scenarios

· Ability to motivate and drive team performance

· Ability to coordinate and respond to feedback from multiple internal as well as external stakeholders

· A keen understanding and insight into industry hiring trends, needs and requirements and ability to accurately act on these insights.

· Willing to Travel

Educational Qualifications & Experience:

· A proven Career Services professional with a demonstrated track record of 10+ years

· Master's Degree or equivalent

Qualification & Experience:

Graduate / Post- graduate with at least 3-5 years of work experience in Hospitality sector/Student residences/co-living spaces. Understanding and/or experience in the hospitality sector and/or education sector is desirable.

Relevant Bachelors/Masters would be graduates in fields like Hospitality, Psychology, Student administration, Management, Liberal arts, Humanities, or other courses with specializations in Psychology, student development, etc
