How Will You Make an Impact?
• Manage the processing and reporting of all outgoing and incoming payments at GOBankingRates in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Monitor daily incoming and outgoing department communications.
• Accounts Payable – on a daily basis, verify, classify, and record accounts payable data.
• Reconcile the accounts payable subledger and general ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted.
• Accounts Receivable – on a daily basis, update aging reports, recording and applying cash payments against open customer balances
• Collections - facilitate incoming payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients and media agencies
• Credit Cards - process corporate expenses and personal reimbursements, including proper coding and approval in accordance with company policies
• Bank Reconciliation – perform matching of bank and cash general ledger entries, reconciling and investigating variances
• Be a key contributor in process and financial systems optimization initiatives.
• Analyze accounts, monitor trends, and flag anomalies, ensuring accurate, complete, and timely insight into all financial transactions.
• Work with the team in removing friction and inefficiencies to end-to-end business and accounting process.
What Do You Bring to Us?
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• At least 2 years of related work experience (public/private accounting)
• Experience working in technology, media, or digital advertising company a plus
• Strong Excel skills
• Very detail-oriented and high level of accuracy – take ownership in your work
• Excellent, proactive communication skills
• Works well both independently and with a team
• Must be hands-on and comfortable with building new processes from scratch
• NetSuite or related ERP system experience
• Bill.com, Abacus, Expensify, or other related A/P & expense management tool experience
