Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Assistant Golf Course Superintendent to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the Golf Course Superintendent in all aspects of golf course maintenance and operations, ensuring the course is maintained to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
• Assist in the planning and implementation of daily maintenance tasks, including mowing, fertilization, irrigation, and pest control.
• Supervise and train a team of grounds maintenance staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
• Monitor course conditions and provide recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications
• Minimum 2-year turf degree.
• Experience with cool-season turf including management of bent/poa greens preferred.
• Previous experience with pesticide applications is a plus.
• Must possess the ability to troubleshoot and repair irrigation problems.
• Hands-on work style is a must.

The Pagosa Springs Golf Club, a privately owned 27-hole, Johnny Bulla designed course that opened in 1973 and located in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. The golf course was constructed on a former cattle ranch and forested area and is nestled in the San Juan Mountains of Southwest Colorado. The facility consists of: three 9-hole courses allowing for three different 18-hole combinations of play. PSGC is a seasonal golf course with the primary golfing season occurring April 15 – Nov 15.
