Program Description
The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is looking for talented engineers for our Danville, VA facility to significantly strengthen its engineering depth and play an integral role in the current and future success of the organization. The Manufacturing Engineering Co-op Program provides engineering students with practical work experience in leadership, manufacturing, and technical areas. The program allows the students to gain a better understanding of the various job opportunities available throughout Goodyear.
This position is designed for developing engineers who desire to learn about a career in manufacturing. It is a dynamic and energetic position that will expand your engineering and problem-solving skillsets and provide you great exposure to modern manufacturing practices. General Description:

This position is an Entry Level position at our Tupelo facility. It pays $19.00 (with manufacturing experience) per hour and is a full time position.
Job Specific Duties:
• Operates manufacturing equipment or performs general laborer work that supplies raw materials, products or service associated with the manufacture and processing of tires and tire products.
• Maintains required product inspection processes.
• Position may require lifting/carrying product weighing 50-75 pounds repeatedly over a 12 hour work period.
• This position requires walking or standing most of the time during your 12 hour shift.
• Operate and monitor equipment/line, removing or shifting materials and/or finished product as necessary to facilitate proper flow and machine operation.
• Ensure product quality.
• Operate manufacturing equipment efficiently and safely
• Clean equipment and area during and after shift.
• Maintain clean work area through good housekeeping practices.

Work Environment:

This position is an Entry Level position at our Tupelo facility. It pays $19.00 (with manufacturing experience) per hour and is a full time position.
Job Specific Duties:
• Operates manufacturing equipment or performs general laborer work that supplies raw materials, products or service associated with the manufacture and processing of tires and tire products.
• Maintains required product inspection processes.
• Position may require lifting/carrying product weighing 50-75 pounds repeatedly over a 12 hour work period.
• This position requires walking or standing most of the time during your 12 hour shift.
• Operate and monitor equipment/line, removing or shifting materials and/or finished product as necessary to facilitate proper flow and machine operation.
• Ensure product quality.
