Position Details:

Grainger Sourcing provides a key component to our value by fulfilling customers' unmet needs for products and services from our network of 14K suppliers. As Sr. Analyst, Sourcing Supplier Partnerships, you will help implement a supplier strategy foundational to a best-in-class Sourcing organization. Position Details

The Supplier Manager owns the relationship with important suppliers across multiple product categories in the Grainger portfolio which range from $50-200M in annual cost. It requires product cost negotiation, develop strategic initiatives in partnership with suppliers, facilitate the communication with other teams like Merchandising, Sales, and Supply Chain, and document and share best practices for the rest of the Supplier Management team.

You Will
• Develop a portfolio procurement strategy that connects Grainger’s commercial strategy with the corresponding procurement support

Position Details:

The Director of Engineering in Search is an engineering leader for people, process, and delivery management. You have a search background and can guide creation and priority of features and capabilities through leadership, execution, facilitating communication, and understanding the boundaries of their specific domain applying their technical mindset. This position is salaried and will pay $170,340 to $262,140. Total compensation will include annual bonus and long-term incentive. Target total compensation will be in the range of $242,500 - $357,675.

You Will:

You will manage a team of Senior Engineering Managers and Engineering Managers.

You will provide direction for Search with a focus on the engineering aspects such as technical dependencies on product and category services, interactions with data science teams and services that provide user search intention and suggestions, architectural agreement for modernized search, and maturing the Agile processes driving the Search teams.

Domain responsibilities:
• Feature prioritization and delivery: You will lead multiple Search development teams that build search capabilities for Grainger.com and company partners using search.
• Modern Engineering and Cloud Technologies: Promote and embed skills that allow the use of the cloud, containers, serverless, and the use of test automation.

• Domain Delivery: The Director will remain aware of timelines, commitments, and forecasts of large deliverables. • Software Development Process Improvement: It is the charge of the Director to ensure that their Engineering Managers are agents to nurture a culture of continuous improvement for engineers, teams, and even the managers themselves. • Facilitate agreement: It is important that the teams, tech leads, product management, data science team and architects always stay in agreement.
• Search health: The Director will monitor the health of not just a single team, but the entire domain. Using metrics to watch trends and reveal antipatterns, the Director will support Engineering Managers when the need arises for Performance Management, but the Director should mostly be concerned with how the health of the Search system is performing, as a team.
• Domain modeling: If the need arises to evaluate the boundaries that exist within the domain, the Director is participant in the conversation. Help Grainger make the best possible choices with any such moves.

Team responsibilities:
• Personnel Management: The Director directly manages a group of Engineering Managers and is indirectly responsible for all the engineering teams under those managers. Issue of team personnel could require their attention or their direct intervention.
• Built-in Quality: The Director will monitor quality metrics (Ex. Escaped Defects, Mean Time to Resolution) to ensure that the Engineering Managers are encouraging a culture that places heavy emphasis on building quality into the software that is written. Using methods like Test-driven Development, the Director should help to create a system for teams to deliver their best work.
• Lifecycle Management: The Director will oversee the health and efficiency of the SDLC for their domain. You should work with all departments, teams, and individuals to ensure the methods of software delivery is smooth and that all operational expenses are providing the desired outcomes.
• Technology Champion: The Director will be an advocate for the technology that the teams in their domain create. While the Director is not directly responsible for the design decisions that the teams make, they should always be aware of the outcomes, challenges, and choices the teams are facing.

You Have:
• 5 to 7 years of people management experience
• 5+ years of demonstrated experience in SLDC using Agile methodologies, continuous delivery, cloud and modern engineering approaches to solve business problems
• Online Search experience how Search Engines and data science work together to delivery high relevant search results.
• Demonstrated experience working with data science teams in consuming services and providing data pipelines to build machine learning models

Position Details As the Distribution Center DC Analyst, you will analyze vast datasets and provide applicable tools to leadership. You will focus on optimizing customer service, while minimizing cost and focusing on safety. Position Details:

The Supplier Manager owns the relationship with important suppliers across multiple product categories in the Grainger portfolio which range from $50-200M in annual cost. It requires product cost negotiation, develop strategic initiatives in partnership with suppliers, facilitate the communication with other teams like Merchandising, Sales, and Supply Chain, and document and share best practices for the rest of the Supplier Management team.

You will report to a Senior Supplier Manager or Director of Supplier Management.

This position can be based in Lake Forest or Chicago, IL and is 50% onsite (2 to 3 days per week); 50% virtual.

You Will:
• Develop a portfolio procurement strategy that connects Grainger’s commercial strategy with the corresponding procurement support
• Perform industry research to understand the supplier landscape, important cost drivers, and primary procurement challenges
• Define best sources of supply for the business that meet customer needs, quality, and cost competitiveness
• Lead negotiations that ensure sustainable access to the best industrial products in the category with the best program economics
• Develop relationships with strategic suppliers at multiple levels, ensuring alignment in growth strategies, addressing challenges in operations on a timely manner, and making sure Grainger's customers' needs are met

Position Details:

We're hiring a bi-lingual (Spanish/English) Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily outbound operations by leading a team of 20-25 team members.
• Outbound operations work Monday through Friday with morning start times

You will report to and support the Warehouse Manager in ensuring accurate receipt of product, order fulfillment and the optimization of resources and processes. You will analyze and develop solutions related to workflow, quality, cycle time, team member safety and other key metrics while maintaining compliance with company policies. This role is salaried and our minimum target pay for the role is $65,000. The range is $62,100 to $94.350 and this role is bonus eligible (and night shift differential if applicable). **This range provided is a guideline and not a guarantee of compensation. Other factors that are involved in offer decisions include and not limited to: Candidate experience, qualification, geographical area and internal equity of the team.

You Will:
• Work in a multi-shift operation with extended hours of operation. 85% time in warehouse environment, which may include in the actual flow when needed. 15% in office, training or customer contact.
• Manage daily scheduling, staffing, material management, compliance, training and auditing activities.
• Provide coaching, feedback and development to team members, ensuring everyone is treated fairly and with respect. This includes performance evaluations, recognition and disciplinary action.
• Promote a positive and engaging work environment focused on key metrics.
• Identify important variables across the workflow process and implement enhancements to the workflow.
• Develop performance measurements and internal auditing processes to evaluate operations efficiency and quality.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA and company regulations with emphasis on HazMat and PIE requirements. Certify the handling/shipping of hazardous materials complies with government regulations and Grainger policies.

You Have:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Fluency in Spanish and English required
• 2+ years previous leadership or supervisor experience in high-volume, multi-shift, order fulfillment warehouse.
• Ability to frequently lift, slide and lower packages up to 75 pounds.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite, SAP and warehouse management systems.
