KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Work collaboratively with members of the Individual Giving team to achieve and exceed annual fundraising goals, provide support on various ad hoc projects across the Individual Giving department, and support the advancement of the museum’s diversity, equity, access, and inclusion.
• Develop and manage strategies to maintain existing donor relationships and solicit new prospects with the intent to meet and exceed annual financial targets for the Affinity Groups and Premium Memberships program at the museum.
• Oversee the collection and processing of contributions; data management, report generation and stewardship of members, working with the Advancement Operations team to maintain and ensure accuracy of donor records and correlating reports.
• Coordinate and execute seasonal events, tours, and meetings (briefing forms, catering, rentals, A/V, registration, event reminders, processing expenses, and budget tracking), with assistance as needed on other programs and tasks.
• Serve as a liaison in providing excellent customer service and hospitality to current and prospective members via phone, email, in addition to staffing events to develop and deepen relationships with donors.
• Perform budget and expense tracking, donor research, database maintenance, management of prospect lists, meeting agendas, and other administrative support of the Individual Giving Department.
• Execute communication materials for Affinity Group memberships, in addition to tracking related proposals and ensuring accuracy of proposal records.
• Support the Assistant Director, Individual Giving and Senior Manager, Individual Giving with their portfolio of donors with an emphasis on growing giving capacity beyond annual membership dues.
• Regularly attend museum-wide and art world events as well as plan cultivation and stewardship events throughout the year.

Overview:
The Guggenheim is committed to supporting the aspirations of early career arts professionals. In support of our Diversity, Equity, Access, and Inclusion plan, the paid Guggenheim Museum Internship Program creates paths that lead to a more inclusive and diverse institution and arts field. The program provides practical training experience to undergraduate and graduate students interested in pursuing careers in the arts and museum fields. Interns are assigned to one department for the duration of the program based on their academic background and interest, and gain a broad understanding of how a particular department functions within the context of a major museum, as well as specific knowledge and skills related to departmental responsibilities. Under the supervision of designated staff members, interns work independently on projects, attend group meetings, and participate in ongoing conversations and processes within their department.

Internship Description:
The Summer 2023 Internship Program will be hybrid, meaning interns will be expected to work on-site a minimum of two days a week. The program begins on Monday, June 5, 2023, and ends on Friday, July 28, 2023. Summer internships require a commitment of approximately 35 hours per week for the full 8 weeks, and participants are expected to be available on Fridays for Museum Culture Seminars. Museum Culture Seminars are weekly professional development meetings that bring together interns from different departments to connect and learn from one another. Museum Culture Seminars are held primarily on Zoom and include presentations by Guggenheim staff and other arts professionals, as well as discussions of current issues and trends within the field. They also provide the opportunity for field trips to other institutions.
Eligibility :
You must have completed at least two years of undergraduate studies to apply. Preference will be given to currently enrolled college juniors or seniors, or current graduate students. You do not need an art history background or previous internship experience to apply for this position. We welcome candidates of all backgrounds to apply. All candidates must be authorized :to work in the United States.
In accordance with Guggenheim policy, all interns must be fully vaccinated (including 1 booster) against COVID-19 and are required to show proof of full vaccination status.
Compensation:
The Summer 2023 Internship Program is a paid opportunity. The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum is pleased to offer undergraduate students $16 per hour and graduate students $18 per hour for their participation in the program.

Overview:
The Guggenheim is committed to supporting the aspirations of early career arts professionals. In support of our Diversity, Equity, Access, and Inclusion plan, the paid Guggenheim Museum Internship Program creates paths that lead to a more inclusive and diverse institution and arts field. The program provides practical training experience to undergraduate and graduate students interested in pursuing careers in the arts and museum fields. Interns are assigned to one department for the duration of the program based on their academic background and interest, and gain a broad understanding of how a particular department functions within the context of a major museum, as well as specific knowledge and skills related to departmental responsibilities. Under the supervision of designated staff members, interns work independently on projects, attend group meetings, and participate in ongoing conversations and processes within their department.

Internship Description:
The Summer 2023 Internship Program will be hybrid, meaning interns will be expected to work on-site a minimum of two days a week. The program begins on Monday, June 5, 2023, and ends on Friday, July 28, 2023. Summer internships require a commitment of approximately 35 hours per week for the full 8 weeks, and participants are expected to be available on Fridays for Museum Culture Seminars. Museum Culture Seminars are weekly professional development meetings that bring together interns from different departments to connect and learn from one another. Museum Culture Seminars are held primarily on Zoom and include presentations by Guggenheim staff and other arts professionals, as well as discussions of current issues and trends within the field. They also provide the opportunity for field trips to other institutions.
Eligibility :
You must have completed at least two years of undergraduate studies to apply. Preference will be given to currently enrolled college juniors or seniors, or current graduate students. You do not need an art history background or previous internship experience to apply for this position. We welcome candidates of all backgrounds to apply. All candidates must be authorized :to work in the United States.
In accordance with Guggenheim policy, all interns must be fully vaccinated (including 1 booster) against COVID-19 and are required to show proof of full vaccination status.
Compensation:
The Summer 2023 Internship Program is a paid opportunity. The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum is pleased to offer undergraduate students $16 per hour and graduate students $18 per hour for their participation in the program.
