This is your opportunity to represent the world's best-known greeting card brand and develop retailer relationships in your community. Hallmark provides paid training, paid travel time and mileage reimbursement between stores and access to a variety of corporate discounts.

There are three major components of this PART-TIME position:

1) Day to Day Service:
• Product merchandising: You will handle all aspects of product merchandising within your assigned stores. You will use a Hallmark-issued, hand-held mobile device to replenish, straighten and track inventory of Hallmark products. This could include products placed inside the Hallmark department or within other areas of the store.
• Store employee and customer interaction: You must interact in a professional manner with store employees, store management and customers while in the store.
• Schedule: Your Territory Supervisor will clarify your specific schedule. Work is typically scheduled Monday through Friday during the day and hours will increase during holiday periods.

2) Holiday Support:
• Hallmark's business is season driven. Your scheduled days and hours will increase the week before and after the following holidays - Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
• You may be required to work on the actual holiday for Valentine's Day, Mother's Day and Father's Day.

3) Department Remodels and Resets:
• Occasionally, you may be required to be a part of an installation team and work on activities to include, but not limited to, building Hallmark fixtures, moving card departments, installing fixtures and product and remodeling card departments.
• Typically, you will receive at least a 2-week notice for remodel/reset work.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - All Positions

This is a physically demanding job that requires a high level of energy and a sense of urgency. You will be working on the selling floor as well as in back stockrooms. You must be able to consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise and display fixtures up to 30 pounds throughout the work day and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You will also be required to stoop, squat, walk, and stand throughout your workday, and you may be required to climb stairs and step ladders.

JOB OVERVIEW

SALARY AND SHIFT DETAILS
• Your starting pay will be upto $15.00 depending on your shift and location.
• This is a Part-Time position with a variable schedule during the work week.

YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE

You'll perform service work in the Hallmark department of various retail stores such as grocery stores, drug stores, department stores, and mass retailers. The retail merchandiser position consists of three major components:

Day-to-day engagement: You are responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at your assigned stores. Utilizing a mobile device provided by Hallmark, you'll restock, organize, and monitor the inventory of Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department. While using your mobile device you will also be in communication with your supervisor, reporting time, providing feedback, and answering surveys for required merchandising activities. Professional and courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers is also vital for success in this role.

Holiday support: Hallmark's operations revolve around seasonal demand. Leading up to and following holidays such as Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, you can expect additional days and extended hours during the work week. On occasions like Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, and Father's Day, you may be required to work on the actual holiday itself, which may include the weekend.

Department Resets: At times, you may be part of a team responsible for installations and various tasks like building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, as well as resetting card sections. Typically, you will be notified two weeks in advance for remodel assignments. This could include evenings or weekend.

One Team Vision: As a field organization although you are assigned to your specific responsibilities there may be additional work and installation efforts that you will be asked and required to support.

The Building Engineering department is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of the infrastructure at Hallmark Headquarters and locally owned properties.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL

The Maintenance Specialist position is responsible for a broad range of maintenance crafts, such as, electrical, plumbing, construction / carpentry, small equipment repair, and powered equipment repair.

Essential functions:

Electrical - The core responsibilities of the electrician revolve around the installation, maintenance, and repairing of the electrical infrastructure and components throughout Hallmark’s headquarters and locally owned properties. Work within the headquarters facility would occur on infrastructure downstream from sub-station equipment. The person in this role will be called on to work independently with a range of service from low voltage to 480v, 3-phase. Activities include planning/design, creating new circuits, installation of breaker panels, transformers, conduit, wiring, outlets, etc. In addition, repairing equipment such as fans, reel cords small/large appliances. The person in this role should be familiar with and capable of closely following National Electric Code (N.E.C.) and all safe work practice standards.

Plumbing – Includes the installation of new plumbing infrastructure and fixtures. In addition, skill set to include capabilities of maintaining all existing systems by troubleshooting malfunctions and effectively conducting repairs. Installation and repairs to include, but not limited to hot water tanks, supply lines, sinks, water fountains, urinals, toilets, drain lines, etc.

Construction / Carpentry – Activities in this area would involve wood/metal framing, drywall and plaster installation/finish, doors/windows and painting, installation/repair of various ceiling and floor tile (cork, vinyl, and tile) products. In addition, possess woodworking skills in building cabinets, AOII modifications, furniture repair/assembly, etc. This would also involve the application of all types of surface finish options such as paints, stains, polyurethane, laminates, metal, tile, etc.

Small Equipment Repair – Possess skill set to perform diagnosis and repair on a wide range of small to large appliances and miscellaneous powered units. These pieces of equipment cover a broad spectrum in application and include, but are not limited to, pumps, motors, fans, reel cords, ovens (conventional & microwave), gas grills, dishwashers/dryers, meat cutters, conveyors, and exercise equipment, etc.

Powered Equipment Repair – Troubleshoot and provide preventive maintenance and repair of materials handling, personnel moving and Building Services powered equipment and Hallmark headquarters facility and surrounding satellite buildings. Preventive maintenance and repairs to include pallet jacks, forklift trucks (propane and electric), cherry pickers, hydraulic lifts, battery powered carts, tractors, lawn equipment, salt spreaders, snow blade assemblies, floor scrubbers and burnishers, etc. Replace / repair items such as tires, bearings, batteries, pumps, motors, electronics, wiring, etc. Responsible for researching, identifying, and ordering parts/materials needed to accomplish repair/maintenance activities. Occasional overtime required to address core responsibilities. In addition, large corporate initiatives, reorganizations, and/or infrastructure upgrades can significantly drive up this number when electrical support is needed.

• Ability to stand, walk, and kneel on concrete most of the day
• Ability to work in various positions such as stooping, reaching overhead, prone, etc. as dictated by specific task/equipment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Successful completion of a formal general maintenance related training program within the last 5 years • Must be comfortable operating PC computers and have knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel environments
• Working knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management software)
• Ability to interpret blueprints, wiring schematics, and technical manuals
• Must be able to demonstrate the mechanical aptitude to accurately and efficiently conduct troubleshooting.
• Ability to plan and design electrical projects from start to finish, which includes accurate supply and labor cost estimates
• Must maintain a good driving record with a valid license in order to safely a company vehicle and various pieces of powered equipment (company vehicles, cherry picker, elevated lifts, carts, etc.) that are routinely used in the department.
• Ability to work independently
• Strong work ethic, customer-focused, and the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
• This is a 1ST shift full-time regular position that will require the incumbent to work Monday - Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm.
• Occasional overtime required to address core responsibilities. In addition, large corporate initiatives, reorganizations, and /or infrastructure upgrades can significantly increase the amount of overtime required when electrical support is needed.
• Relocation will not be provided.
