Position summary:

Fully responsible for the investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and resolution of specialty claims which are the most complex in coverage and represent the company’s largest damage exposures. The claims could originate anywhere in the country and often require field consultation, field investigation and providing a high level of technical expertise to many professionals throughout the country. This is a full-time, exempt role.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
• Must possess or secure and maintain appropriate state adjuster license(s) and continuing education credits.
• Works with high authority limits on assignments reflecting a very high degree of technical complexity and coordination.
• Possesses a high and extensive level of technical knowledge and skills including product and industry.
• Negotiate settlements, mitigate losses, and control expenses on our company’s largest losses.
• Maintain a high level of communication with leadership.
• Responsible to provide consultation and participation in the development of large claim strategies handled by both independent and staff adjusters.
• May co-adjust cases to facilitate learning and to impact file.
• Recognized as the company consultant in a field providing technical guidance, assistance, and training to lower level associates.
• May have regional, zone or company-wide scope.
• May be subject matter expert (SME) to coordinate consistent countrywide handling of specific large losses.
• Required to have and maintain sufficient home-based internet connection.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Regional Distribution Director role reports to the Distribution Management Leader and has primary responsibility for quality and volume of submission flow, agency relations and Hanover field office relations in their assigned territory. The RDM is also expected to work closely with their underwriting and business partners to develop and maintain strong and profitable relationships. IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
• Identifies new business development opportunities, deepening relevancy with Target Agents, and expanding distribution through Specialty focused agents to achieve target specialty returns.
• Collaborates closely with the RDD or AVP and Regional Vice Presidents to own and develop the distribution strategies for assigned region.
• Establishes agent and local office development plans, monitors results, and takes appropriate action.
• Works in conjunction with local office leadership to develop and manage a stable of target agents in each territory ensuring that the relationship and yield from each target agent remains productive.
• Interfaces with RE and RVP and other business unity leaders on territory and cross-business issues along with maintaining regular contact with all target agent partners and field leadership.
• Oversight of agency relations:
• Proactive and consistent production efforts

• Proven track record of achieving goals/objectives and development of territorial business plans and supporting initiatives.
• Proven ability to effectively manage and develop a team of Sales/Business Development Managers (for Supervisory roles only), while balancing multiple sales priorities in a dynamic and very fast-paced environment.

Our Major Case claims department is seeking a Regional Liability Adjuster to join our growing team in one of the following offices: Glastonbury, CT, Windsor, CT... Bedford, NH, Worcester, MA, Atlanta, GA, Richmond, VA, Howell, MI or Itasca, IL. This role may be hybrid or fully remote.

Position summary:

Fully responsible for the investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and resolution of specialty claims which are the most complex in coverage and represent the company’s largest damage exposures. The claims could originate anywhere in the country and often require field consultation or field investigation and providing a high level of technical oversight to many professionals throughout the country. Specialty claims will be primarily focused on elder care facilities and medical negligence and additional medical malpractice.This is a full-time, exempt role.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions
• Must possess or secure and maintain appropriate state adjuster license(s) and continuing education credits.
• May be involved in the oversight of technical work of other Liability Adjusters.
• Will be involved in the direct handling of our most complex claims.
• Interpret and execute strategies of higher-level management.
• Accountable for making decisions that impact the short-term and long-term results of the company.
• Work with product management to enhance Line of Business loss results.

Position Requirements:
• 8+ years professional liability experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

The Hanover Insurance Group has adopted a Hybrid work model that allows for 2 or 3 days of remote work each week with the balance of time being in the office.

This is a full time, exempt role.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

This position requires daily telephone contacts with the commercial line policyholders, risk managers, and agents. Fully responsible for the analysis, investigation, evaluation, negotiation and resolution of commercial claims requiring thorough investigations including telephone contacts with the involved parties; technical expertise and complex analysis. Claim assignments are multi-state and involve commercial customers

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
• Have or secure and maintain appropriate state adjuster license(s) and continuing education credits
• Handle commercial general liability claims
• Work within significant limits and authority on assignments
• Identify possibly suspicious claims
• Possesses demonstrated technical knowledge and skills, including product and industry
• Claims handled may be of greater complexity and may require a higher level of investigation, analysis, evaluation and negotiation including interpretation of commercial coverages
• May be responsible for all aspects of each claim, including informal hearings, arbitrations and small claims litigation and maintaining a high level of productivity, confidentiality and customer service
• May represent the company at mediation, arbitration and trials
• May provide training and mentoring to adjusters
• Review and analyze contracts, leases, and identify risk transfer opportunities
• Write positional coverage letters.

WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY:
• Typically has 1 to 5 years General Liability experience
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, industry designation preferred
• Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers
• Strong organizational and time management skills
