Preferred experience includes:
• Teaching experience in a lab or clinical environment
• Experience teaching online courses/classes

Position Overview
The Admissions Advisor is responsible for educating and attracting potential students to attend Herzing University through inbound and outbound phone interactions. Provides information to prospective students on the advantages of attending Herzing University. Interviews prospective students to define program of interest, discuss scheduling, time commitment involved, etc. and ensures all aspects of the enrollment process are completed thoroughly and accurately.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
• A minimum of six months as an associate admissions advisor or related work experience, preferably in admissions, higher education, customer service or sales

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responds to inquiries for information about Herzing University’s courses and programs through telephone, email, text, and chat.
• Interviewing prospective students to determine their motivation for continuing their education, understanding their career goals and needs, and helping identify potential obstacles which could hinder their educational experience.
• Helping prospective students identify the best educational program that matches their needs and goals, then sharing information about the benefits of what Herzing University offers.
• Guiding prospective students through the admissions process, responding to their questions and concerns at each step in the process, ensuring students complete the necessary admissions requirements, and connecting students to support resources.
• Generating inquiries through prospective students, current students, and the local community outreach/events.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
• Currently hold an unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse in Wisconsin or obtain licensure in the state of Wisconsin by date of hire
• Master's required; Doctorate degree preferred
• Knowledge of learning principles for adult education, including nursing curriculum development, administration and evaluation and one of the following:
• Two years’ experience as an instructor in a nursing education program within the last 5 years, OR
• One year experience as an instructor in a nursing education program within the last 5 years and the graduate degree included education preparation.

Summary of Primary Responsibilities

As a member of the academic leadership team, your responsibilities include hiring, training, developing and evaluating staff and faculty, and supervision of both faculty and staff, but extends to programmatic management as well. This may include data collection, analysis and reporting, and continuous improvement. Experience with programmatic accreditation is desired.

You will primarily be responsible for supervising Faculty, Adjunct Faculty, and support staff who have stepped up to the challenge of helping our students bridge the gap between the theory and practice in the nursing field. Our professional faculty engage tomorrow's nurses with intimate class sizes, up-to-date labs and simulation environments, and real-life clinical rotations (off site).

Herzing University’s Online Campus has an opportunity for you to share your experience and engage our student population as a Adjunct (part-time) Faculty member within our Surgical Services Program for Associate’s students; Clinical or Lab classes.

This position will meet with individual student groups for lab/clinical hours at community partner locations within the Milwaukee area. During the lab courses, this individual will meet with students two days a week for 8 weeks, 6-8 hours a day at a community partner location within the Milwaukee area.

During clinical courses, this individual will travel to community partner locations within the Milwaukee area to "round" on students as they progress through their clinical experience. This individual will also be responsible for teaching the didactic portion of the clinical classes.

Requirements:
• Faculty must be qualified by education and experience, and must be effective in teaching the subjects assigned
• Faculty with instructional responsibilities in core surgical technology courses must:
• Have an Associates degree.
• be a graduate of an education program in surgical technology accredited by a nationally recognized programmatic accreditation agency
• Possess a credential in the field of surgical technology through a national
certification program that is accredited by the National Commission on Certifying
Agencies (NCCA)
• Have a minimum total of two years of experience, either in the operating room
scrub role or as an instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both,
within the past five years

Preferred Education:
• Bachelor's Degree
• Teaching experience in a lab and/or clinical environment
• Experience teaching online courses
