Essential Functions

Job Summary

The Home and Community Bases Services Aide is a person who provides support, assistance with personal
hygiene and household functions for an individual to be able to remain in their own home.

Specific Job Duties/Responsibilities
• Reports observations of the client's condition to the Agency Director or accounts manager. Notifies the Agency Director immediately if any incidents or accidents occur.
• Drives safely, complies with traffic regulations, and wears a seat belt when business travel is required.
• May provide or assist clients with activities of daily living including: bathing in bed, tub or shower; care of hair including shampoo, combing and brushing; care of teeth and mouth including denture care; nail care, filing only; skin care including pericare and applying lotion; transfer of patient from bed to chair and to wheelchair. Transfer of patients on and off bedpan, commode and toilet.
• Assists with household tasks directly essential to clients personal care.

Education & Experience

SHIFT: Your new hire training will take place Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm EST, mandatory attendance is required. Once you have completed new hire training, you will take part in a shift bid to determine your schedule.

This position is full-time (40 hours/week). Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8am-9pm EST Mon-Fri and 9am-3pm EST Sat. WHAT DOES A VISITING ANGEL DO?

· You will provide non-medical care for older adults and seniors to help them stay independent and in their own home. Services provided for our clients can range from basic ADL's such as errands/shopping, ADL's such as bathing, and high level, total care cases. Other services include Alzheimer's/Dementia care, Hospice supportive care, and Respite.

CAREGIVERS, CNA'S

JOBS REQUIREMENT

· 18 years of age

· Have at least 1 year of experience caring for the elderly

· Speak English and be able to converse on a variety of topics

· Willing to take a background check and drug screen

· Passionate about providing care for elders

· Compassionate, honest, reliable, confident and highly sociable

· Confident in your ability to engage the Client in activities and conversation

· Be able to cook

· Eligibility to work in the United States

· Reliable vehicle

· Valid driver's license
