8) Makes activity, behavioral, or environmental modifications for the child in order to promote inclusion and equity.

9) Trains other staff on necessary modifications and individualized needs to ensure consistency in interactions and expectations by all staff in the child’s classroom.

10) Performs any first aid or CPR as needed, including any specific pediatric first aid and CPR for the child’s special health care needs.

11) Individually assists the child in an emergency or disaster.

12) Maintains a professional working relationship with the child, the child’s family, and any professionals or agencies supporting the child.

13) Maintains proper boundaries of a preschool age child or older by having the child sit next to instead of in the teacher’s lap and never picks up or carries the child.
