Summary:

The Human Resources Manager is the main point of contact for managers and employees on a variety of human resources topics; and is accountable for all aspects of human resources management for the company. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail oriented, flexible, and willing to assist in other areas as needed. The candidate should have experience in all areas of human resources, including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, labor law compliance, risk management, training, and performance management.

The Human Resources Manager works on-site at the corporate office located in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This is not a remote position.

Salary Range: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Duties / Essential Functions:
• Develop a thorough understanding of Company policies and procedures, and state and federal laws regarding Human Resources activities. Assist with ensuring compliance to these policies, procedures, and laws.
• Provide support to management and associates on human resources-related topics and questions.
• Oversee and manage employment processing from pre-employment to post-employment, including assisting with recruitment and interviews, processing background checks and drugs screens, and processing pre-hire, onboarding, and separation paperwork.
• Process pay adjustments, payroll deduction changes, status changes, and position changes.
• Process accurate and timely payroll on a biweekly basis.
• Administer benefits, including new enrollments, qualifying event changes, terminations, open enrollment, and COBRA administration.
• Track performance management, reviews, training, and insurance certificates. Follow-up as expiration dates and deadlines are approaching.
• Manage employee engagement programs and tasks, including the weekly internal newsletter, Employee of the Month program, and annual employee survey.
• Assist management with employee relations issues and conflict resolution.
• Complete worker's compensation reporting and recordkeeping, including incident reporting and annual audits
• Complete regulatory human resources reports and filings
• Maintain personnel files and I-9 paperwork.
• Complete daily tasks and projects with a strong attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
• Maintain excellent communication with the management team and associates. Follow up on outstanding items as needed.
• Provide enthusiastic assistance to help the Company and employees achieve goals and objectives
• Manage and achieve goals, objectives, and other projects as assigned

Requirements

Qualifications:
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or other related field, required.
• At least three (3) years experience in human resources
• PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or related certification, preferred
• Proficient in computer operations with ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google applications, including Excel and Gmail
• Excellent interpersonal skills. Must be willing and able to work in a collaborative setting with a diverse group of internal and external customers and vendors.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
• Must be a self-starter, highly motivated to complete projects as assigned.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.
• Must be available to travel and visit stores, as needed.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
• A combination of education, certifications, and work experience may be qualifying.

Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to sit and work at a computer for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with others both orally and in writing.
