General Accountabilities:
• Manage project teams to ensure safe, cost effective and timely completion of transmission/distribution projects
• Monitor and control programs and/or complex projects during scoping, planning and execution phases.
• Co-ordinate activities with internal service-providers and stakeholders, contractors and customers.
• Resolve issues through negotiation with the Service Provider and customer.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and specifications, and present recommendations to resolve issues, producing necessary documentation, as necessary.
• Prepare business cases for the execution of transmission/distribution projects.
• Contribute to the development of the business plan and regulatory submissions.
• Be responsible for the preparation of turnkey contract specifications and awards and provide necessary technical direction to service providers.
• Monitor service provider performance, provide redirection as required, and authorize payment.
• Represent the Company on discussions and negotiation with customers, stakeholders and suppliers.
• Liaise with other internal work groups, divisions and outside interests.
• Maintain an awareness of advancing technology developments in transmission/distribution equipment and systems.
• Develop, track and maintain project schedules and budgets
• Identify and manage project risks
• Manage change control of Projects
• Provide leadership to the Project Team
• Work closely with construction and other field staff in order to manage field activities
• Provide technical guidance to others as required, assist in resolution of work problems and mentor junior staff in job responsibilities.

Selection Criteria:
• Requires experience with preparing and overseeing the development and execution of project scope, budget, and schedule to ensure timely completion of projects and adherence to financial targets
• Requires experience in managing complex electricity transmission and distribution projects
• Requires knowledge of project management principles and best practices.
• Requires knowledge of electrical power systems and business administration of construction project management, equipment and operations relating to transmission/distribution assets, customer and public relations, contract management.
• Requires completion of a Engineering, Business or Science University degree or a technologist degree with 5+ years experience in the electrical transmission and distribution utility. Other qualifications will be considered with relevant experience.
• Requires knowledge of technical writing for the preparation of contract documents, scopes of work, presentations and technical reports and specifications.
• Requires excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Requires an excellent knowledge of written and verbal English
• 5+ years of working experience as a Project Manager on power/utilities/nuclear/energy related projects is preferred.

Relevant experience in the following areas:
• Manage multiple work programs and effectively lead and facilitate teams consistent with the goals and philosophies of continuous quality improvement.
• An understanding of the Project Delivery Model/Project Life Cycle.
• An understanding of bulk electric system operations.

Job Function:
• Conduct operations research, technical/economic/environmental/business/regulatory impact assessments and other specialized technical/business studies to determine transmission/distribution customer/system needs;

Job Function:

For large outsourced engineering, procure and construct projects (over $100M+), to provide a heighten financial controls and enhanced contractual oversight and ensure smooth relationship with service providers. Ensure that the financial position of construction projects is accurately reported, cost expenditures are reasonable and prudent, financially feasible and controlled effectively.

Job Description:
• Manage risks related to the identification, quantification response development and response control Engineering, Procurement and Construction contractual and financial side of the major construction projects
• Responsibility for implementation of Change management and application of risk management strategy developed for the project.
• Provide support and advice to the project management teams on matters such as contract compliance, contract awareness, contract change management, claims, and variations, legal and financial matters. Coordinates with Supply Chain, Legal and other lines of business where subject matter expert input is required.
• Ensure all commercial processes and document control complies with the appropriate Hydro One standards and governance processes.
• Will develop and/or prepare and submit internal reports on commercial progress (project spend, and forecast, change orders approved, in review etc) in coordination with Project Manager.
• Support preparation of business cases and financial/commercial strategies for project updates or new projects.
• Support Project Managers in developing their sourcing strategies through discussing delivery models and contract options and ensure coordination with Supply Chain and Legal.
• Plan commercial administrative activities in line with project schedules.
• Analyze rates proposed by contractors, prices, cash flow, assumptions, exclusions, contract changes and risk assignment with Project Manager during bid evaluation.
• Responsible for maintaining auditable project records in accordance with contract requirement, focus on ensuring clear trail of responsibility to support response to potential compensation events.
• Responsible for reviewing month end reporting data with the delivery teams. Develop forecasting methodology for area 217. Responsibility for monthly forecasting working with the Project Managers. Project Managers are accountable for forecast.
• Effectively manage all contract commercial requirements including compensation events and notices. Ensure contractual notices are issued in accordance with contractual timeframes. Analyze variations and/or compensation events as required. Highlight deviation from contract, error in development of contractor price change or impact to schedule, excessive costs or additional contract risks created.
• Reviewing contract changes and purchasing order prior to their execution in the financial system and prior to release to vendors as final quality control step.
• Ensure accurate and timely review applications for payment. Review invoice and ensure alignment of invoice with work completed, cost to date, forecast cost to complete, track burn rate for inconsistencies that will put budget amounts at risk. Clarify any potential errors with contractors. Review outstanding matters with Project Manager prior to invoice approval.
• Work with estimating to collate cost and value information from ongoing projects to support analysis of current project and future forecast.
• Other duties as assigned.

Selection Criteria
• 8+ years of utilities, power, energy or related financial and / or commercial experience; University degree in business administration, finance, law, engineering, or a complementary field; Relevant professional designation is an asset (CPA, PMP, CIQS etc.);
• Advanced communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to express throughts in an organized, concise manner across all levels;
• Experience creating and executing action plans based on business analytics, financial models, and corporate objectives;

General Accountabilities :

• Monitor and control Dx Lines Capital programs. Co-ordinate activities with Service Providers and Stakeholders.

• Requires knowledge and experience related to utility risk, regulation and policy functions in general and in Hydro One in particular.

As Senior Cybersecurity Advisor at Hydro One, you will:

General Accountabilities :

Assist the Manager in the planning, development and implementation of communications programs to meet the specific information needs of the Company, staff and the public.

Specific Accountabilities:

Support the media relations function by acting as a primary Company spokesperson on operational and sensitive issues. Research issues to identify appropriate approaches, strategies and responses. Provide operational support to myriad corporate communications activities, including media events, speeches, employee events, trade shows and stakeholder meetings.

Assist the Manager in coordinating special employee and media events at the site.

Participate in the department’s rotating on-call schedule, which involves working evenings and weekends as part of a team to manage after-hours communications requirements during storm events causing power outages or other urgent situations.

Confer with field or other Company personnel involved in related or shared projects/programs, to discuss and solve problems of mutual concern.

Act as a resource and work with various media relations contacts regarding continuing communications at and on behalf of the Company.

Keep abreast of and maintain a general knowledge and information data bank on current and developing energy sources, electricity, the Company's role, objectives and policies and other relevant topics.

Support employee communication efforts through the development and implementation of internal communication plans and strategies that improve employee engagement. Organize and participate in employee events including webcasts, meetings, campaigns and other events.

Play a key role in the development and oversight of the social media strategy and oversee the execution of proactive and reactive tactics on company social media accounts, organizing original content, fielding questions/inquiries from customers/stakeholders, ensuring cross-platform consistency on position statements, escalating emerging issues, and serve as final approver of post content. Monitor and measure the success of all social platforms.

Act as the media contact in emergency situations; be responsible for the operation of the local Information Centre set up in the local municipality (i.e., prepare news bulletins on the emergency situation for release to media).

Perform other duties as required.

Selection Criteria

Education:

Requires knowledge of public relations, journalism, the social sciences, communication skills and English to assist in the planning and development of Corporate relations communications programs, to provide effective oral or written responses to the media (press releases), local governments, etc. on various Company matters.

This knowledge is considered to be normally acquired either through the successful completion of a four year university education in an appropriate field or by having the equivalent level of education.

A post-graduate program in communications or journalism would be considered an asset.

Experience:

Job Function

Manage complex information technology (IT) centered projects over the full project life-cycle. Provide leadership, guidance and technical expertise in the management of projects, directing staff, contractors and vendor personnel with respect to execution of tasks, monitoring of activities and achievements, maintenance of schedules and monitoring of costs and project budgets. Projects are run using the appropriate project methodology for the delivery. The ideal candidate will have experience of delivery using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, ideally with experience of working and contributing to an Agile transformation in a large organization.

• Deliver enhancement and sustainment activities within customer focused Product Team
