About This Position
We are looking for a data analyst to help with the validation exercise of IDB Lab results for 2022. This is part of the annual review or projects in execution that is conducted by IDB Lab, which will feed key impact publications, including the IDB Group’s Development Effectiveness Overview. As an analyst you will be responsible for the curation of all data collected through IDB Lab systems, and the consolidation of all portfolio results and impacts in unified indicators.
You will work with the SKI (Scalability, Knowledge and Impact) part of IDB Lab. This team is responsible for the knowledge, communications, connections, and impact agendas at IDB Lab.
What You’ll Do
• Tasks include (immediately)
• 1/ Curate all active portfolio results in 2022;
• 2/ Identify mistakes and outliers and work with IOs and clients to correct them;
• 3/ Follow-up with IOs and clients on timely reporting of results survey for projects without adequate results matrices;
• 4/ Consolidate all portfolio results into a set of KPIs, according to established methodologies;
• 5/ Work with the ITE team to identify improvements to the results and impact function of the IDB Lab project management platforms;
• 6/ Provide feedback on the Learning Module of the PSR and PSU and systematize feedback from the team to plan actions for the following evaluation cycle.

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent advanced degree) in Data sciences, Economics, Statistics, or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role.
• Experience: At least 2 years of work experience in Databases management in MS Excel, STATA or another software. No prior thematic experience is required, but familiarity with IDB, IDB Invest or IDB Lab and their systems is a plus.

About this position
The objective of this consultancy is to support the production of knowledge products through the application of sound statistics and econometric principles and using Stata, Python or R. We are looking for a dynamic, data-minded, self-starting professional with deep knowledge of information architecture, data flows, and technology platforms to join the Felipe Herrera Library team. As a Knowledge and Learning Specialist or Senior Associate, you will be challenged to use your knowledge for coordinating projects and processes and apply your... hands-on technical abilities for experimenting, creating, and investigating as necessary.
You will join the Felipe Herrera Library team (FHL) within the Knowledge and Learning Division (KLD) of the Knowledge, Innovation and Communication Sector (KIC). This team is responsible for supporting the creation and publication of the IDB’s knowledge products and data sets; providing library reference services to all IDB personnel, including physical and digital acquisitions of books and journals, and subscription access to specialized databases, journals, and media sources; the creation, maintenance, and improvement of the IDB Taxonomy used for applying metadata to IDB knowledge products internally in Bank systems and externally on the IDB website; and the design, maintenance, and improvement of methodologies and systems that enhance access to IDB knowledge, such as the Publications catalog (publications.iadb.org), the Open Data catalog (data.iadb.org), the PoolParty ontology management platform, the WorldCat Discovery search application, and our in-house knowledge search engine Findit, among others.
What you’ll do:
• Use your client service skills to act as the focal point for system and data interoperability, including data publishing, metadata management, collection curation, and for the use of new technologies to support knowledge management processes to better serve all IDB Group personnel.

We are looking for a dynamic, data-minded, self-starting professional with deep knowledge of information architecture, data flows, and technology platforms to join the Felipe Herrera Library team. You will join the Felipe Herrera Library team (FHL) within the Knowledge and Learning Division (KLD) of the Knowledge, Innovation and Communication Sector (KIC). This team is responsible for supporting the creation and publication of the IDB’s knowledge products and data sets; providing library reference services to all IDB personnel, including physical and digital acquisitions of books and journals, and subscription access to specialized databases, journals, and media sources; the creation, maintenance, and improvement of the IDB Taxonomy used for applying metadata to IDB knowledge products internally in Bank systems and externally on the IDB website; and the design, maintenance, and improvement of methodologies and systems that enhance access to IDB knowledge, such as the Publications catalog (publications.iadb.org), the Open Data catalog (data.iadb.org), the PoolParty ontology management platform, the WorldCat Discovery search application, and our in-house knowledge search engine Findit, among others.
What you’ll do:
• Use your client service skills to act as the focal point for system and data interoperability, including data publishing, metadata management, collection curation, and for the use of new technologies to support knowledge management processes to better serve all IDB Group personnel.
• Use your leadership abilities to coordinate the development, implementation, application, and updating of standards and processes related to knowledge creation, publication, and sharing as needed, and serve as critical interlocutor between knowledge and learning business processes and information technology systems and establishing relationships with responsible teams.
• Apply your knowledge of data interoperability to lead and ensure reliable and seamless data flows between all systems related to the provision of library and knowledge management services, and documenting and/or defining related processes.

This includes the definition and application of standards, quality control, and leveraging certain tools and services.

About this position
The Investment Operations Department (INO) is in charge of originating, structuring and monitoring IDB Invest’s transactions. The Department is comprised of three divisions responsible for originating and structuring transactions in each of IDB Invest’s priority industries: (i) Infrastructure and Energy, (ii) Corporates and (iii) Financial Intermediaries, and two transversal divisions responsible for (i) Financial Products and Services and (ii) Portfolio Management.

The Department is comprised of three divisions responsible for originating and structuring transactions in each of IDB Invest’s priority industries: (i) Infrastructure and Energy, (ii) Corporates and (iii) Financial Intermediaries, and two transversal divisions responsible for (i) Financial Products and Services and (ii) Portfolio Management.
The Financial Products and Services Division works closely with our priority industries’ divisions to provide product-structuring expertise in the following broad range of products and services: blended finance, capital markets solutions, equity and mezzanine, trade and supply chain finance and resource mobilization. The selected candidate will work under the supervision of the Head of the Resource Mobilization team.
What you’ll do:
• In conjunction with the senior officers, closely follow transactions in the loan syndications and capital markets in order to spot trends that could affect those relevant markets in the covered region.
• Assist in the collection of market data for the preparation of pricing analyses based on comparable transactions in the bank and capital markets.
• Assist in the performance of market soundings of the investor universe.
• Support the senior officers in the preparation of presentations on current market conditions and other department promotional material by sourcing data form Bloomberg or other market data platforms.
• Prepare information memoranda, deal teasers, bank meeting presentations and documentation for allocated transactions.
• Ensure that the data warehouse for the Resource Mobilization team is up-to-date and respond to data requests in a timely manner.

• Education: You hold at least a Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, International Development or other relevant field. Master’s or MBA will be considered a plus.

About this position
The objective of this consultancy is to advance IDB Invest mission by developing and implementing a comprehensive GDI outreach and partnership strategy. The consultant will work closely with GDI team to build relationships with relevant stakeholders and facilitate the exchange of information and knowledge on GDI issues and best practices.
We are looking for an analytical, resourceful, and dynamic consultant to identify and engage with third parties relevant to delivering GDI Advisory Services.
You will work in the Gender and Diversity Division (GDI) part of the Social Sector (SCL) and GDI at IDB Invest, the private sector arm of the Inter-American Development Bank Group. The team mission is to promote: (a) gender equality and empowerment, (b) development with identity of indigenous peoples, and (c) the inclusion of African descendants, persons with disabilities, and LGBTQ+ individuals. GDI/SCL supports Bank operations, provides policy and strategic guidance, and carries out technical assistance and training. GDI/IDB Invest supports private sector operations through technical assistance and capacity building.
What you'll do:
• Develop a GDI outreach and partnership strategy that aligns with the team's mission and objectives.
• Identify and engage potential vendors, partners and donors and build relationships with relevant stakeholders.
• Develop a fundraising strategy for GDI that aligns with Advisory Services overall fundraising strategy. This includes writing and/or editing fundraising documents.
• Facilitate the exchange of information and knowledge on GDI issues and best practices by drafting, reviewing, and/or editing documents in English and Spanish.
• Report on the progress of the outreach and partnership efforts
• Collaborate closely with the GDI Team to amplify IDB Invests diversity and inclusion activities and ensure that stakeholder engagement and outreach activities are aligned with overall strategy and goals.
• Participate in working group meetings via audio conference.

What you'll need
• Education: A bachelor's degree is required for this role. A master's degree (or equivalent in experience) in international development, gender studies, social sciences, or other relevant fields is preferred.
• Experience: The ideal candidate for this position should have a minimum of five (5) years of experience. The consultant should have strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
