Job Duties:
• Review and approve inquiries and applications for On-Demand workshop events.
• Serve as primary point of contact for schools throughout the on-demand event application and delivery process.
• Primary point of contact for school/event coordinators throughout the on-demand event planning and delivery process.
• Complete all required tasks to ensure the successful delivery of multiple and concurrent on-demand events
• Maintain all On-Demand related data and reports in Salesforce
• Manage and update the REGIS registration system.
• Maintain and update master copies of all school and leader communication templates.
• Support stakeholders with systems access issues
• Serve as web team liaison responsible for ensuring accuracy of all regional PDD information on the IBO.org website.
• Advise on, advocate for and draft updates to all on-demand workshop related documents such as policies, guidelines, process (SOP), and term & conditions.
• Where assigned, serve as the department’s Salesforce superuser by providing training to new staff, submitting Service Now tickets on behalf of the department to resolve system issues that impact workflow, and conducts UAT testing for organization-wide system updates
• Serve as Tier 2 contact for IB Answers for On-Demand workshops
• Respond to IB Staff and stakeholder queries about the On-Demand workshop model and application process.

Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree level or equivalent experience

• Proven communications skills (written and verbal) with external stakeholders/customers is required.
• Event planning skills and/or certification is desirable.
• Understanding of the international education sector/IB an asset

Responsibilities
• Contribute positively to the collaborative culture of the academic team and Vertex staff
• Construct learning experiences that challenge students, support the diversity of learners in each classroom and demonstrate a strong commitment to concept driven, inquiry-based teaching and learning
• Attend to high impact instructional practices (cognitive lift, appropriate demand of task, student centered discussions, clear formative assessment, and feedback)
• Build caring relationships and rapport with students and staff
• Participate in community-based projects and school field trips
• Ensure all assessments support ongoing learning and provide timely, relevant, and appropriate feedback to students
• Demonstrate effective classroom management
• Proactively communicate with families about student learning
• Supervise students’ individual Personal Projects and service requirements
• Lead an advisory group of students in a specified grade level
• Enthusiastically participate and contribute thoughtfully in Professional Development
Qualifications
• Experience teaching US history and government, global history, and geography
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Education or relevant subject
• Master’s degree preferred
• Teaching Certificate preferred (middle or high school)
• International Baccalaureate experience preferred
• A passion for working with adolescent learners, flexible attitude, and a sense of humor
