The position is full-time (32-40 hours per week) including weekends, with growth potentials. We offer generous hourly wages, with starting rates based on experience and job performance. The candidate must be an extremely reliable, conscientious, able to lift 60 pounds. Precept Environmental will provide all of the necessary training, but candidates with prior ice machine experience are given greater consideration. The candidate must also be able to work in a teamwork environment and capable of accepting direct supervision while working safely every day. Projects are located throughout California, but based around the Orange County, San Diego, and Los Angeles areas. Once the employee job proficiency has been established, a company vehicle may be provided.

Job Responsibilities
• I&C, Electrical Skills Under the general direction and supervision of the Maintenance Manager or his designee, the IC&E Tech installs, repairs, calibrates and troubleshoots power plant instrumentation, electrical devices, and controls. Performs I&C and electrical work as required including, but not limited to, the following:
• Diagnoses and repairs the cause of instrument and control system malfunctions including transmitters, programmable logic controllers (PLC’s), plant or distributive control systems, instrument loops, flow meters, pressure probes, temperature probes, and level probes.

Operate Ice resurfacer according to the ice maintenance and usage schedule, keeping daily ice usage on schedule; edge and patch as necessary; maintain and repair dasher system and glass; maintain ice resurfacers and ice-making water treatment system including water boiler/heater, and maintain a clean and organized maintenance area.

Monitor/Read/Record ice floor and ice surface temperature, air temperature, humidity levels, and other ice plant performance metrics and service records.

Install/Remove ice surface including logos and lines, dashers, glass, and protective netting. Execute conversions of ice surfaces for hockey/skating/other events/shows/programming, including installing and removing rink divider panels. Install/Remove the insulating ice deck for non-ice activity. Monitor and adjust pool saturation index per state and local standards.

Ensure adherence to facility usage policies and procedures. Interact positively with facility users/public. Other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager and/or General Manager include maintaining clear entryways during winter weather.

The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for creating and maintaining availability and high-performance in mixed Linux and Windows, development, non-production, and production environments. This individual works as part of a results-oriented, service-delivery team and assists configuration analysts, release engineers, developers, and operations teams. Additionally, the Senior Systems Engineer performs root cause analysis of problems, selects, and implements automation tools, and actively participates in deeply technical discourse.

Responsibilities
• Assist in the design, planning and implementation of server solutions
• Tune and design systems infrastructure for maximum available performance
• Automation of manual tasks using scripting and application development
• Investigate and adopt new technologies/tools as needs arise
• Respond to and assist in production operations in a 24/7 environment
• Evaluate, test, and integrate new operating system versions, drivers, and patches

Knowledge and Experience

• Familiarity with git, subversion, foreman, katello, Jenkins, or equivalent
• Demonstrable knowledge of multi-tiered, highly available, and resilient application design
• Knowledge of horizontal and vertical scaling for performance and stability
• Familiarity with low-latency / high-frequency compute environments
• Understanding of virtualization and experience with VMWare
• Top-tier analytics and problem solving
• Ability to work in a service-oriented team environment

Preferred
• Degree in engineering discipline or equivalent experience in Systems Engineering
