Summary:

We are looking for a Cybersecurity Training Specialist to support the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC), a component of the Department of Homeland Security, serves as an interagency law enforcement training consortium for 100 U.S. Government law enforcement agencies. The mission of the FLETC is to train the men and women who protect the homeland. This contract will provide technical, administrative, and analytical support for the Cybersecurity Division (CSD), the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), the Cybersecurity Risk Management & Compliance (CRMC) team, and the Network Operations Security Center (NOSC).

The Cybersecurity Training Specialist is responsible for implementing and managing a comprehensive Cybersecurity Awareness and Training (CSAT) program to promote cybersecurity awareness and provide role-specific cybersecurity training.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:
• Develop organizational goals and objectives for CSAT and identify training resource requirements
• Collaborate across the organization and leverage existing training resources where practical
• Collaborates across technical teams identifying and developing training materials.
• Assists in developing training materials including courses, user guides, checklists, presentations, videos.
• Evaluates training deliveries, continually improving performance.
• Collaborates with training design team to implement communications programming.
• Support training team in reporting and other program administrative support

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
• Must be able to develop organizational goals and objectives for CSAT and identify training resource requirements
• Must be able to collaborate across the organization and leverage existing training methodologies and resources where practical
• Must be able to foster synergy among government and contractor staff with similar training responsibilities and solicit input on training content, modality, awareness strategies
• Must possess the interpersonal skills and perseverance to work with individuals to develop individualized training plans as well as the confidence and professionalism to conduct awareness sessions or training to large diverse groups
• Must have strong organizational and administrative skills to administer role-based training, conduct surveys and marketing campaigns, solicit feedback, coordinate and facilitate a broad spectrum of cybersecurity awareness and training activities, report on cybersecurity awareness and training accomplishments and challenges, and provide the full range of communications from individual congratulatory messaging to notices for non-compliance
• Proactive and creative approach to solving problems and when developing training and communication materials.
• Some visual design skills to support clear and impactful presentations and training materials.
• Excellent presentation skills in both smaller team meetings and larger classroom settings.
• Excellent written communications-clear, effective, and grammatically correct.
• Detail-oriented and dedicated to upholding established governance and quality standards.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Associates degree or higher in a related field with some professional experience in training
• At least five (5) years’ proven experience implementing and managing a comprehensive Cybersecurity Awareness and Training (CSAT) program to promote cybersecurity awareness and provide role-specific cybersecurity training
• Must be able to successfully pass a background check
• Must be a US citizen

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field

The salary range for this position is $88,000 - $122,000 annually
