We are looking to add an Account Executive to our team that can immerse themselves in the Ionic product offering, understand industry trends within mobile app development, and work with these Software Engineering Leaders to adopt the Ionic product suite.
Account Executives at Ionic will run the full sales cycle from initial discovery call through closing deals for Ionic. They will work opportunities with new logos as well as cross selling into existing accounts. Over time, they will leverage Account Management techniques to grow their most strategic accounts, yielding measurable success for their customers.

In this role you will be measured on your ability to:
• Meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas
• Hunt for new opportunities, have meaningful discovery calls with prospects, negotiate agreements, and close new business
• Manage a clean and healthy pipeline and accurately forecast monthly and quarterly business
• Take new products to market in collaboration with Product and Marketing teams
• Partner with prospects and customer to drive enterprise-wide adoption and account growth
• Be a team player, be honest, hard working, and conduct yourself in a professional manner consistent with our company values
Responsibilities
Your areas of responsibility will include:
• Successfully owning the full sales lifecycle with Enterprise customers from prospecting to closing deals
• Engaging with prospects from technical software developers to procurement and the C-suite
• Confidently leading complex negotiations resulting in higher ACV
• Managing all business via prospecting and round robin leads- meeting/exceeding quarterly targets
• Building lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with prospects and customers
• Executing prospecting and ABM campaigns with our Demand Gen and SDR team
• Practicing first call excellence with question based discovery calls & first pitch
• Staying current and become knowledgeable on current product and industry trends
• Maintaining best practices with CRM (Salesforce) and automation (Outreach)
• The ability to manage pipeline and deliver accurate forecasting (within +/- 15%)
• Providing quality feedback loop for Ionic Product, Marketing, & Engineering
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you’ll benefit from having:
• 4+ years of verifiable success hunting and selling complex tech solutions to B2B companies of all sizes. Strong preference for selling solutions into Engineering buyer personas
• Documented success being a top performer (vs quota and ranked within team)
• A history of successfully expanding revenue within current account through cross selling and upselling
• Experience with a selling and qualification methodology, (ex: Sandler / MEDDIC)
• Proficiency with Salesforce, Outreach, LinkedIn GSuite, Slack, and Zoom
• Being a self-starter, unfazed by ambiguity, competitive, and interested in mobile app development
• Learning quickly to become a domain expert in mobile app development
• Excellent problem solving skills and ability to adapt quickly to unknowns
• Having a disciplined and organized approach. Excuse adverse
• Being influential, collaborative and likable (Oversee a deal - influence internal resources to get what you need so you can push to close)
Role Location
Fully remote, Ionic is currently a 100% remote workforce and was largely distributed prior to the pandemic (more than half the team did not work from the office). Our headquarters is located in Madison, WI.
