Job Description

The CAL Marketing and Communications Director/Coordinator leads and oversees marketing and communications efforts for the College of Arts and Letters and its departments, programs, and initiatives. This includes internal and external marketing and communications work focused on promotion, recruiting, outreach, and development. Major responsibilities include oversight and production of written press releases, a monthly newsletter, and content for various social media channels. The individual in this position works closely with the college dean and with ISU's marketing and communications team to develop and oversee the college marketing plan while ensuring the consistency with the university's standards and vision. Depending on applicant qualifications and experience, this position will be filled as either a coordinator or director position. The director position will come with a higher level of responsibility and commensurate higher compensation. Key responsibilities include:

Job Description

We are seeking to fill a tenure-track faculty position, beginning in Fall 2023, at the rank of Assistant Professor, for ISU's Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program (https://www.isu.edu/psych/clinical-phd-program/). As a core member of the program's Clinical Training Committee, this faculty member will teach undergraduate and graduate classes, provide clinical supervision, conduct research in their area of expertise, and mentor students on theses and dissertations. Competitive applicants will have strong research scholarship, an intention to seek external funding, and a commitment to excellence in teaching, mentoring, and clinical supervision of students. Research expertise complementary to the current faculty is welcome.

Minimum Qualifications
• PhD in Clinical Psychology from an accredited PhD program

Preferred Qualifications
• Licensed or license-eligible in the state of Idaho
• Expertise in substance use, eating disorders, diversity/multicultural topics, rurality, suicidality, neuropsychology, and/or trauma

1. Video production. The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Idaho State University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level or tenured position at the associate professor level to begin in August 2023. The position will be in the general area of Computational and Applied Mathematics, including but not limited to Data Science (including Machine Learning), Statistics, or Computational Science. Job Description

The Department of Global Studies & Languages in the College of Arts and Letters at Idaho State University invites applications for a full-time Visiting Assistant Professor of East Asian Languages and Cultural Studies. This is a one-year position with the possibility of renewal (up to 3 years) based on performance and departmental needs.

This faculty member will teach Japanese language and East Asian cultures courses at the undergraduate level. They will teach three courses per semester distributed across our Japanese and Global Studies programs. While our main need is in Japanese, we are interested in establishing a Chinese language program in the future. Thus candidates who could teach both languages are particularly welcome to apply.

As an integral part of our program, they will develop coursework in East Asian languages as well as literature, film, politics, and/or culture (depending on areas of interest and knowledge), help grow our partnership with Ibaraki University in Japan, assist with curricular development and assessment at the undergraduate level, and work with us to grow this language and emphasis area.

The department is housed within the ISU College of Arts and Letters. Job Description

The College of Technology (CoT) at Idaho State University, a diverse interprofessional collaboration that comprises nearly 200 faculty/staff and 1,400 students representing over 30 different programs, is the state and regional leader in Career and Technical Education (CTE). The Dean is an academic, operational, and financial leader responsible for the continuation and enhancement of the CoT's tradition of innovation in education, excellence in applied learning, and forging of critical industry partnerships. The Dean must demonstrate an understanding of each CoT discipline and the unique dynamics and nuances of each program. The successful candidate will provide collaborative leadership to engage in day-to-day management of and relationship building with faculty, staff and students. The Dean will also facilitate communication between CoT programs and all levels of university administration and advocate, both internally and externally, for CoT students, programs and faculty. The Dean creates a positive, collaborative, and inclusive working and learning environment.

Key responsibilities include:
• Provide inter-professional leadership to meet the diverse needs of the CoT programs in relation to teaching, service, and creative/scholarly activity excellence
• Oversee and improve College of Technology administration and operations through facilitating strategic and facilities planning
• Serve as the Career and Technical Education Administrator over Region V in Idaho; reviewing and submitting state and federal budget, curriculum, and enrollment reports to the Idaho Division of Career and Technical Education
• Represent ISU CTE interests through serving on the Technical College Leadership Council of Idaho's Career and Technical Education institutions of higher education
• Provide strategic budget oversight for a $20 mil budget including a special allocation from Idaho Division of Career and Technical Education
• Oversee and implement grant projects through Perkins V federal funding
• Build and maintain collaborative relationships within the CoT, community organizations, business and industry, civic and government, and educational systems
• Understand workforce development needs and respond to the skills gap in Idaho's current workforce environment to create, expand, or discontinue programs
• Ensure financial stability through securing philanthropic donations, fostering partnerships, and facilitating external funding opportunities
• Promote faculty development in teaching, service, and scholarship
• Understand and facilitate accreditation and professional standards across diverse disciplines represented in the CoT
• Oversee non-credit courses through Continuing Education/Workforce Training, Adult Education, and College and Career Readiness programs

Minimum Qualifications
• Earned master's degree
• Minimum of five years leadership experience in an academic setting
• Minimum of four years teaching in an occupational discipline, or have a minimum of four years management experience in a CTE-related field
• Experience with financial planning and budgetary oversight
• Successful track record developing and implementing strategic plans. Outstanding delegation skills, creative problem-solving skills, and collaborative management style
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills. Experience working with diverse populations
• Experience promoting diversity
• Must demonstrate a commitment to creating a culture of trust, compassion, stability, and hope
• Must be able to meet the qualifications for the Idaho Postsecondary CTE Administrator Certification upon hire

The
Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Idaho State University
invites applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant
professor level to begin in August 2023. The position will be in the
broad area of mathematics education. We are particularly interested in
candidates that have research experience in undergraduate math education
(RUME) focused on teaching and learning in the first two year courses.
This is one of two hires this year within a strategic cluster of hires
over the next couple of years focused on serving the educational needs
of our diverse student population.

Preference will be given to
candidates able to mentor undergraduate and graduate students and
develop an education-based research program focused on one or more areas
including, but not limited to, student success, retention, equity,
assessment, curriculum, pedagogy, recruitment, community engagement, or
communities of practice. The candidate will have the opportunity to work
with the department and the college to strengthen the undergraduate
program and restructure the graduate program.
Key Responsibilities

Workload
will initially consist of teaching two courses per semester (40%);
establishing and maintaining scholarly research, publications, and grant
activity (30%); and providing service and leadership to various program
areas, department, university, and professional societies (30%).

Specific responsibilities may include:
• Contributing research-based knowledge and leadership to improve
teaching, learning, and retention, or providing innovation in design of
curriculum and/or teaching materials, at a departmental and national
level.
• Collaborating with STEM education faculty in the Departments
of Teaching and Educational Studies and Biology to prepare graduate
students for teaching.
• Mentoring students in research in
undergraduate mathematics education (RUME), in the context of first two
years courses, and pursuing collaborative grant funding in education.
• Assisting in coordination of outreach to local and regional populations.
• Engaging in departmental, college, university, and professional society service and professional development.

Minimum Qualifications

One of the following:
• A
doctorate in mathematics education or a related field (must be
completed prior to the start date), with a master’s degree or equivalent
in mathematics or a related field or at least 30 graduate credits in
mathematics; OR
• A doctorate in mathematics or a related field
(must be completed prior to the start date) with a doctoral thesis in
mathematics education.

In addition:
• Potential for excellence in teaching and undergraduate mathematics education research.

• Teaching

Additional Information

The
Department of Mathematics and Statistics is experiencing multiple
retirements, resulting in new hires to replace about one third of the
tenure-track lines over the span of a few years. The department offers
degrees in mathematics, applied mathematics, and statistics mirroring
the core specializations of our faculty. The department provides general
education courses as well as courses that serve students in science and
engineering, education, health professions, and business. A small
student-to-faculty ratio affords close interaction with students. The
department also maintains a highly trained and research-active faculty
with a balanced commitment to teaching, research, and service. The
Department is located in the College of Science and Engineering.
Numerous collaborative opportunities exist within the Mathematics &
Statistics Department, Teaching and Educational Studies Department in
the College of Education, and with other disciplines in the College of
Science and Engineering, including in Communities of Practice and on
Noyce and S-STEM grants. Collaborative research opportunities also

Serves as the Chief Human Resources Officer for the University and
is responsible for developing and executing human resource strategy
in support of the strategic plan for the institution, specifically
in the areas of employee relations, organizational development,
