ITHAKA is seeking a tech savvy and teamwork-oriented higher education professional to be our Outreach subject matter expert for ITHAKA’s emerging technologies that serve digital humanities research and instruction within academic libraries. Responsibilities

As Senior Manager for Digital Humanities Resources Outreach you will be the internal and external subject matter expert responsible for achieving participation goals,helping to drive adoption and usage for new programs and services in the Digital Humanities, focusing on text and data analytics education and support. You will collaborate internally with colleagues to contribute to the ongoing development for the products and services you support as well as provide training and knowledge sharing for those products across the ITHAKA Outreach team.
• Through direct faculty and library outreach, seek opportunities to integrate ITHAKA’s emerging technologies and services into digital humanities programs (through faculty and library outreach), supporting teaching with primary sources, information and data literacy, and text analytics.
• Lead efforts to achieve participation goals for assigned products and services through direct customer activities such as: meetings (virtual, on-site visits, and industry trade shows) for new or at-risk participating institutions; following up on marketing-generated and inbound leads, and supporting the broader Outreach team through reviewing opportunities and internal training for staff.
• Act as the subject matter expert for the Outreach team on products/services as assigned and how they can be used to support digital scholarship and teaching with primary sources.
• Support introduction of assigned new products and services by contributing to beta and trial evaluation programs, collaborating with business owners to provide feedback on business models and validating end-user workflows.
• Collaborate with ITHAKA Marketing, Outreach leadership, and business owners to determine the most effective value proposition for new products and services related to digital humanities; support effective go-to-market (GTM) planning, including the creation of materials to support launch.
• Primary Outreach liaison to the JSTOR Labs team, helping to develop and provide feedback for incubated ideas.
• Develop and maintain a network of relationships with digital humanities library staff, teaching faculty, and other key members of the academic community to stay abreast of important trends and best practices in digital and information literacy.
• Ability to travel is required for this role, expectations in the 20-30% range.

Experience And Skills
• Minimum 5 years of experience in higher education or libraries, either at an academic institution or vendor.
• Demonstrated expertise in digital humanities scholarship and primary source research.
• An advanced degree (MLS, M.A. or PhD in a humanities field) and/or professional experience in teaching and research is a plus.
• Excellent relationship building and communication skills, including the ability to effectively demonstrate digital content and platform tools via webinar and in person workshops.
• Ability to work well as a team member; a willingness to actively participate in team projects and share ideas.
• Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for accuracy.
• Ability to perform with minimal supervision and to prioritize diverse work assignments.

The Role

ITHAKA is looking for a Business Systems Analyst with extensive experience in marketing technology to configure, administer, and support ITHAKA’s marketing technology stack. In this role, you will translate our marketing vision into technical implementations that enable us to deliver on organizational objectives and allow us to measure the impact of our efforts.

• As Marketing systems owner, provide timely user support for our marketing technology systems (CRM, MAP, and integrated marketing channel systems) and ensure we meet or exceed related Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

The Role

As Senior Business Systems Analyst, you will play a key role within the Business Systems team at ITHAKA. This includes working closely cross-functionally with leadership, colleagues, implementation partners and vendors as we transform our lead-to-cash capabilities. You will use keen business process understanding, appreciation for simplicity and quality, critical thinking, and a bit of elbow grease to craft holistic solutions that meet business and technology objectives while furthering ITHAKA’s goals.

You will be part of the core team that handles designing, building and maintaining the Salesforce (SFDC) platform and related technologies. Your initial priorities will focus on deploying Salesforce to the organization which will be instrumental in informing our future direction and success. More generally, you will be a crucial part of a dynamic, energized, and agile team; delivering leading edge solutions that are used by our business teams to advance our mission but also to process millions of dollars in business transactions each month.

You will also serve as a product owner of the Salesforce platform, particularly CRM and CPQ. You will be responsible for both the strategic aspects and the ongoing operational aspects of the platform. You will be responsible for creating an environment in which everyone can do their best work without being distracted or delayed by problems with tools, processes, or strategy. Some examples of critical internal systems that you will partner with others to deliver value include Marketing, Sales, CRM, CPQ, Billing, ERP, Customer Support, and Contract Management.

This is a full-time position reporting to the Head of Business Systems with a dotted line to the Manager, Operational Excellence Enablement.

Responsibilities
• System ownership - drive system enhancement efforts to deliver value to the users through requirements elicitation, configuration, administration, development and application support.
• Relationships - Build and maintain effective relationships both internally with colleagues and externally with partners/vendors.
• Strategic – develop and be accountable for a vision, strategy, and roadmap to transform our lead-to-cash capabilities.
• Mentorship - develop the skills of other staff around you so that you can address gaps and spread the workload.
• Process Optimization - Analyze process problems and provide end-to-end support for solution development, working closely with business analysts and program managers.

Experience And Skills
• System ownership - Proven recent experience designing and supporting large scale, technically complex solutions on Salesforce especially, implementing the Customer Relationship Management (CRM), CPQ and associated ecosystem.
• System Capabilities - Proficiency with capabilities of Salesforce Sales Cloud, CPQ and associated ecosystem.
• Strategic – Experience playing a strategic/product owner role for Salesforce platform and an in-depth knowledge of CRM strategy and Salesforce’s best practices.
• Business process – Deep knowledge of B2B sales, marketing, and support processes and experience delivering process improvements in those areas.
• Learning - Motivated to learn and apply new technologies and methodologies quickly and identify when more upskilling is needed.
• Communication - You are able to explain complex systems and technical topics in a clear, concise way to others who may have minimal technical knowledge using oral, written, and visual presentations. You are a patient, supportive, transparent, and customer-focused communicator.
• Agile team – experience working with an agile dev team on customization/extension work.
• Influence - Ability to build consensus, inspire teams, and lead effectively through influence rather than authority.

Preferred Skills
• Certified in one or more of the following: Admin Super Set, Business Analyst, CPQ Specialist.
• Experience with SQL
• Experience with a scripting/programming language e.g. Javascript, Python or Apex
