Wastewater Operator

As an Operator, you’ll join a collaborative team ensuring that our clients can deliver their services – uninterrupted. Based in Clovis, CA, you’ll perform a variety of tasks in the operation and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant. You’ll contribute to the success of our program with efficient preventive maintenance, establishing and maintaining effective sample procedures of plant operations and effluent, and providing effective solutions to complex challenges that may arise. You’ll diagnose operating problems, make process control adjustments, direct and perform necessary corrective action. You’ll also prepare reports, collect samples, perform laboratory testing, determine proper chemical flow rates, maintain shift logs and perform other duties as required. Most importantly, you’ll take action to ensure the safety, health and well-being of you and your team.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
· Experience operating a wastewater treatment facility
· Experience with sound safety principles and practices
· Experience with computer operations with the ability to prepare spreadsheets and word processing documents, and enter information into maintenance management system
· Possess a valid driver’s license
Ideally, you’ll also have:
· Knowledge of the principles, methods, and tools employed in the general operation of engines, pumps, valves, motors, and related equipment; general maintenance work; safe work practices; principles and methods of biological and chemical sewage analyses, effects and problems of industrial waste in water/wastewater treatment processes, principles of supervision
· Knowledge of computer software including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite, data management systems and be able to operate plant PLC’s and SCADA systems

Assist mid and senior level engineers with designing building heating and cooling system, building plumbing, hot water/cold water systems, potable water systems, fire protection, and building code analysis for water and wastewater treatment facilities and pump stations under.
Completion of calculations, production of construction drawings and specifications, condition assessment reports, basis of design reports, and building management studies.
Coordination with other engineering trades including process, structural, architectural, and electrical engineers to produce fully functioning facility designs.

• Provide Project Management oversight for all aspects of a project from initiation to close-out.

Requires BS degree from accredited college in a technical field and 5+ year experience in Project Management, Construction Management, or Facilities Management.
Preferred Experience: Experience in Electrical Engineering/Construction, OSHA-30 Certification, Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or Professional Engineer (PE) certification desirable but not necessary.
Position Requirements: Support the Engineering & Project Management Dept in the planning, estimating, and execution of facilities and site improvement projects up to $1M in value on a large government research campus. Projects may include fire alarm systems, roads/paved surfaces, buildings, cranes/elevators, underground utilities, HVAC, electrical utilities, and landscaping, to include major Infrastructure modifications Coordinate and oversee subcontractor work supporting projects including schedule, cost, and scope compliance, workmanship quality, and customer relationships. Complete weekly and other periodic status reporting. Monitor on-going projects to ensure safe work places and procedures, efficient construction/maintenance, and fully complete work with documentation.
Candidate shall have experience prioritizing competing tasks and will have to balance a load of active projects with projects being planned and estimated. Candidate shall have experience with quality assurance, safety, project management, and subcontractor management. Jacobs is seeking an Electrical Power Systems Engineer to join the Jacobs Space Exploration Group (JSEG) at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, AL.
