The role is based in the US, though we offer a hybrid working from home program which means your location can be quite flexible. We are looking for an all round Google Cloud expert to join our team of instructors. As part of our award-winning team you will be helping us build our training portfolio and deliver training globally to some of the world’s largest brands.

We require an experienced Cloud professional who has a proven track-record for delivering high quality products or training using GCP technologies. • Cloud Platform Architect Track
• Machine Learning Track
• Cloud Network Engineer Track
• Cloud Security Specialist Track
• Cloud Data Engineering Track

Ability to deliver additional courses and hold the relevant certifications from any of the wider Google range (https://cloud.google.com/training/courses) would also be an advantage.

Ideally you will also have a good understanding of the competitors on the landscape who compete directly with Google Cloud, including other providers such as Amazon & Microsoft Azure.

Responsibilities
• You will be delivering a lot of virtual classroom deliveries, these are global so expect frequent deliveries that might be out of your own time-zone. In addition you will also be providing some face-to-face training both to clients in your region, but you will also be asked to travel to deliver courses overseas when required.
• It’s important to note, flexibility is of the utmost importance with this role, being able to travel or work a variety of hours is essential.
• You will need to take responsibility for keeping pace with GCP technology and product development.
• You will help us develop our product range and aggressively grow our offering of cloud courses.
• You will need to hold the relevant GCP professional certification/s

Qualifications

What you’ll need
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience with Cloud Technologies.
• Comfortable presenting and delivering multiple-day-long training sessions both in the classroom and online.
• Comfortable in training enterprise level clients on how to develop or diversify their current skill set.
• Can clearly communicate processes, strategies and general requirements to both internal and external stakeholders.
• Basic proficiency with command-line tools and Linux operating system environments.
• Systems Operations experience, including deploying and managing applications, either on-premises or in a public cloud environment.
• Certified on one of the following:
• Amazon Web Services
• Google Cloud Platform
• Microsoft Azure

Advantageous:
• Second languages
• Knowledge of other GCP courses and technologies covering Developing in the cloud.
• Strong business awareness and ability to talk to leadership teams

Salary range - $150 - $215k (may be negotiable)

Additional Information
• Comfortable with working flexible hours to accommodate global delivery via virtual classroom and able to travel within the UK and globally often at short notice.
• Highly organised, with the ability to work on multiple projects at once
• An excellent writer and communicator, comfortable speaking to advanced audiences, large groups, etc.

To put it another way, we feel like we’re building the “Salesforce.com” for R&D teams - it’s a pretty ambitious vision and we’re looking for people who are excited... about being challenged and joining us on that mission. We have some of the top investors in the world (Accel, Wing) who believe in our product and team. Our co-founders are bringing decades of product and engineering leadership experience to the table with a $1bn+ exit to Oracle under their belt (Endeca in 2011), they have reunited to build something special again.

The sales team at Jellyfish is still in its infancy stages, and after a year of record growth we are finally looking to add people who are passionate about making an impact and playing a role in helping us scale. We are looking for highly motivated individuals with a strong track record of success in achieving their individual goals, but also who care deeply about winning as a team and helping build up others around them.

As a Business Development Representative you will:
• Be primarily responsible for building / sourcing your own pipeline by outbound targeting CTOs and VP Engineering and demonstrating the ability for you (and Jellyfish) to add value with your touchpoints
• Interact with C-level and VP-level executives at companies ranging from start-ups to F500 companies, and be able to engage in both technical and business oriented conversations
• Work closely with Account Executive team on account strategy, messaging and persona-centric value propositions, qualification criteria, and overall deal-progress as BDR compensation has ties not just to pipeline sourced but Closed ARR as well
• Maintain strong relationships with prospects who do not immediately convert into pipeline as they will be a key network / source of pipeline for Jellyfish in the future

About you:
• You want to create a strong foundational knowledge for a long and successful career in SaaS sales
• You are passionate about learning, self-development, and enjoy being challenged
• You are a collaborative person who wants to go above and beyond in making those around you better, but also do not possess an ego that prevents you from learning from your peers and reaching out to them for help
• You are a competitive person who has a strong track record of success in whatever field or activity you’ve pursued and finish towards the top of the leaderboard
• You take pride in your work - from written communication, to sales calls, to the long-term relationships built with customers - you strive to put your best foot forward and avoid complacency wherever possible
• You thrive in a fast-paced environment

Bonus points if:
• You have worked at a small startup before and loved it
• You have experience selling into the CTO / VPE / Director Engineering persona
• You are passionate about sales process or sales culture as all team members play a role in helping develop these at Jellyfish
• You have a sense of humor! We know sales is a hard job, and there’s a lot of work to do to accomplish the lofty goals we have, but we also want to make work fun along the way
