Duties and responsibilities for the position include teaching, scholarship and professional, community, and/or university service. The Office of Advancement Marketing at James Madison University is seeking a Creative Strategist to play a vital role in developing strategic content to support fundraising and engagement initiatives. The successful candidate will have considerable project management experience as well as a proven track record of developing persuasive promotional materials; compelling, meaningful storytelling in support of fundraising and stewardship; and excellent editorial and graphic design skills.
This position works closely with communications and marketing, fundraising and stewardship staff as well as with campus partners in support of fundraising and stewardship strategies and events for donors and donor prospects. This 3 day a week part-time position reports to the Associate Director of Advancement Marketing and pays $22.05/hr (maximum of 30 hrs/wk).

• Leverage donor intelligence in the graphic design and copy writing of print and digital materials (including solicitations, funding cases, giving menus, gift proposals, event collateral, white papers, newsletters, impact reports, web pages, social media and magazine ads) to develop compelling messaging in support of fundraising and engagement.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with Advancement partners, print vendors, and serve as a project lead when assigned.
• Assist in the AM team collaboration of developing marketing strategies, tactics and messaging for donor engagement, solicitation, and stewardship.
• Serve as a content creator and communicate project status to team members and partners.
• Utilize basecamp to organize, create project schedules, summarize, and then archive design files for future reference.
Qualifications
Required:
• Experience in public relations or cause-based, branded content creation.
• Knowledge of graphic design and digital marketing principles and practices, as well as print production procedures.
• Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Cascade
• Experience collaborating with teams and managing projects, especially related to content creation.
• Exceptional written communication skills with outstanding attention to accuracy and detail.
• Demonstrate the ability to juggle multiple projects efficiently while maintaining priorities, deadlines, and deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-confident with a positive attitude and tenacity to get things done.
• Excel in an independent work environment and at taking initiative.
Preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, English, graphic design, or a related field.
• Experience developing strategic communications in support of philanthropy.

The Institute for Innovation in Health and Human Services (IIHHS) is accepting applications for a full-time Associate Director, Interprofessional and Interdisciplinary Programs. The person in this position serves on the IIHHS Leadership Team, helping to advance the ongoing work of the IIHHS in accomplishing its mission and strategic goals. This position will work closely with the IIHHS Director, who is also the CHBS Associate Dean responsible for implementing the CHBS IPE (interprofessional education) and IDE (interdisciplinary education) Initiative. The IPE/IDE Initiative is a college-wide initiative to coordinate all IPE and IDE learning experiences offered in the College in an effort to track student achievement in meeting the competencies outlined by the Interprofessional Education Collaborative. This role will also coordinate the signature workshops and IPE courses organized through IIHHS, and may involve teaching as part of an interdisciplinary team.
IIHHS is seeking someone with strong experience and interest in interprofessional and interdisciplinary education, including a clear understanding of the IPEC competencies, their implementation, and challenges and opportunities associated with integration into academic curricula. The individual must have strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, exceptional listening and facilitative skills, excellent organizational and problem solving skills, and be able to think creatively. This individual will also be involved in assessment processes associated with the IPE/IDE initiative as a whole, and in supporting faculty teams in assessment processes for individual IPE/IDE learning activities. The Associate Director reports to the Director of IIHHS/Associate Dean of the College of Health and Behavioral Studies.

Duties and Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities of this position include:
• Serve on the CHBS IPE and IDE Council and support the advancement of its work.
• Attend monthly IPE/IDE Council meetings.
• Serve as a resource for faculty completing IPE and IDE proposals, and facilitate the IPE/IDE proposal review process.
• Help create, manage, and facilitate process related to tracking student advancement toward IPE/IDE competences/domains.
• Work with IPE/IDE Assessment Team and faculty teams to implement assessment of IPE/IDE offerings.
• Maintain and update Introductory IPE/IDE asynchronous online course.
• Work with the CHBS Website Manager to enhance and develop the IPE/IDE webpage.
• Coordinate IPE and IDE Courses and Workshops supported through IIHHS and CHBS.
• With academic units, plan, coordinate, and implement the Building Cultural Humility Workshop and the Life in the State of Poverty Simulation and/or other workshops holding promise for students interprofessional, interdisciplinary, and sociocultural competencies.
• Prepare and maintain content management system sites for IPE/IDE workshops and courses.
• Collaborate in workshop and course development for IPE and IDE courses offered jointly with members of the teaching faculty. Contribute to team teaching, if necessary.
• Provide leadership, oversight, evaluation, and coordination for courses holding the IPE designation.
• Serve as liaison for the Caregivers Community Network (CCN) Coordinator, which connects students to respite care for caregivers of people with dementia.
• Prepare annual report regarding IPE and IDE activities and data.
• Complete administrative tasks associated with IPE and IDE courses.
• Prepare part-time and adjunct teaching budget for each semester and submit by CHBS deadlines.
• Prepare faculty contracts as indicated.
• Work with administrative staff to upload courses to Peoplesoft.
• Serve on the Curriculum and Instruction committee.
Additional duties include:
• Serve on IIHHS Leadership Team and support activities associated with advancing IIHHS Strategic Goals.
• Review annual applications for scholarships connected to the CCN program and handle application process.
• Other duties as assigned by Director.
Qualifications
• Advanced Degree in profession related to the areas represented in CHBS, preferred.
