-Coach, manage and engage in advertising sales alongside team members to drive revenue in both print and online categories. Develop sustainable strategies to maintain current revenue streams and create new opportunities – including new products and events.
-Set the tone for the location, making sure all employees are challenged, understand expectations and receive necessary support. Maintain a culture of openness, positive communication and accountability across all departments.
Teamwork:
-Work closely with other department leaders in accounting, editorial and audience development. Communicate with business office and regional publisher in regard to revenue forecasting, variances and expense projections across the location.
-Collaborate with team leaders locally and in other locations to enhance and develop new revenue opportunities as well as expense controls that lead to a stronger presence in the market.
Community involvement:
-Represent the brand through engagement with civic groups, interacting with local business leaders and representing the location at community events.
-Participate on community boards to show commitment to the community and to strengthen long-term relationships that help build a robust brand.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field, plus 5+ years of related work experience.
-Proven history of successful leadership, sales ability, creativity, problem-solving, innovation and staff management.
-Strong written and oral communication skills.

Your Role:
We are seeking a full-time Junior-level Environmental Scientist for our Joplin, MO location to manage and support various environmental projects throughout Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas and Missouri. This position will primarily support investigations and removal activities at former lead mining areas in southeast Kansas and southwest Missouri. Site locations include, Caney, KS, Iola, KS, Cherokee County, KS, Jasper County, MO and Newton County, MO.
In addition, this position may also support investigations at former dry cleaner sites and other sites throughout the four-state area. Responsibilities will include preparation of sampling plans, field studies including the collection of soil, groundwater, surface water and indoor air samples, interpretation of sample data and preparation of data summary reports, regular maintenance and calibration of equipment used during field studies, and supporting other environmental studies. This position will require extensive outdoor work and some overnight travel.
In this position you will be part of a project team, in some cases as a project manager and in other cases as project support staff. You will gain valuable data collection experience in the field, while managing project budgets and preparing detailed analysis of field data and project reports. Tetra Tech provides mentoring and training opportunities to help junior staff hone their areas of expertise and diversify their interests.
Qualifications:
Candidates should have 0 to 3 years of experience with hazardous materials, sampling of environmental media (soil, groundwater, air, etc.), technical writing and environmental consulting or related activities. Candidates must also have/be:
• Must possess strong analytical, organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Must also be highly motivated, customer focused and work well in a team environment.
• Proficiency with MS Word and Excel also preferred.
In addition, this position requires the following:
• You must be able to drive on a regular basis. Passing a motor vehicle record background check and maintaining a valid driver's license and good driving record is required.
• Passing a background check is required.
Education:
• B.S. degree in scientific or engineering field is required.
• Completion of 40-Hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) training and current 8-hour HAZWOPER refresher training are required to perform this work. If the successful candidate does not already possess this training, Tetra Tech will provide training prior to initiating regular work duties in the field.

• Must be able to lift sample coolers and other equipment up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to wear full-face respirator and complete annual medical monitoring program, including pulmonary function testing.
