As we continue our journey of expansion and evolution, we are seeking a seasoned Fractional Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our leadership team and drive employee performance management and recruiting initiatives... Reporting directly to the CEO and Board of Advisers, the Fractional COO will play a pivotal role in enhancing our operational efficiency, employee engagement, and overall organizational success. This role is a fractional commitment, allowing for strategic input without full-time obligations.

Position Overview:
• Lead and manage day-to-day operations across all departments
• Implement and monitor key performance metrics to ensure optimal business performance
• Manage and develop the HR department to match staffing needs
• Work cross-functionally with all departments to ensure goals are met and the company is running smoothly

Key Responsibilities:

Employee Performance Management
• Design and implement performance management frameworks, including goal-setting, performance evaluations, and ongoing feedback mechanisms.
• Collaborate with department heads to establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for various roles, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
• Lead efforts to foster a culture of continuous learning and development, identifying training opportunities, mentorship programs, and skills enhancement initiatives. Provide guidance to managers on effective performance conversations, addressing performance gaps, and recognizing achievements.

Recruitment and Talent Acquisition:
• Develop and execute comprehensive recruiting strategies to attract top-tier talent that aligns with the company's values and objectives.
• Collaborate with department leaders to understand their talent needs, refine job descriptions, and create effective interview processes.
• Oversee the candidate selection process, conducting interviews for critical roles and ensuring a positive candidate experience. Build and nurture relationships with external partners, industry networks, and educational institutions to enhance the company's talent pipeline.

Organizational Development:
• Partner with leadership to refine organizational structures, ensuring optimal alignment and distribution of responsibilities.
• Identify areas for process improvement and operational efficiency enhancements, driving cross-functional collaboration and streamlined workflows.
• Facilitate effective communication and information sharing across departments, promoting a cohesive and unified working environment.

Culture and Employee Engagement:
• Champion initiatives that promote a positive and inclusive company culture, reinforcing our core values and fostering a sense of belonging.
• Collaborate with the HR team to address employee feedback, concerns, and suggestions, working towards a harmonious and engaged workforce.
• Lead efforts to celebrate achievements and milestones, both at the individual and team levels.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in business, finance or a related field
• At least 10 years of experience in a COO or executive leadership role
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Proven track record of improving operational success and profitability
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Excellent day-to-day management skills
• Strong business acumen and knowledge of relevant regulations and laws.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to align people and processes with organizational goals.
• Exceptional leadership and coaching abilities, capable of driving growth and development across teams.
• Analytical thinker with the ability to derive insights from data and translate them into actionable strategies.
• Proficiency in HR software, ATS systems, and data analysis tools.

Contract Type: Fractional commitment, 20 hours per week, with the potential to transition into a full-time role as the company scales.
