A Day in the Life of a Motorcycle Service Technician at KTM Triumph!
As a Service Technician here at Woodstock KTM Triumph, you will be responsible for providing technical repair, service and customization work on our customers bike's at our dealership.
• Current motorcycle license is required and completion of an authorized training program or equivalent technician work experience is highly preferred*
Duties Include:
• Providing prompt, dependable, high quality vehicle service to our customers in accordance to factory specifications
• Complete the allotted repair work within the scheduled time period
• Maintain productivity and time spent working on billable jobs
• Request parts for jobs as early as possible when need becomes known
• Work with service advisors to find bike fix solutions and accept work assignments, as well as notifying of any delays
• Proper completion and filing of paperwork

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provides the highest level of technical dealer support and retail customer support via phone line and other communication channels.
• Provides parts support to dealers concerning warranty, RMA’s and product fitment. Includes gathering information, going through the review process, and making a determination regarding plan of action for each situation.
• Enters all calls and related information into the Call Center system.
• Travels to dealerships when necessary, for troubleshooting, technical assistance and customer service activities. May involve light mechanical work, as needed. Coordinate’s dealer visits with Field Support Representatives, as needed.
• Potentially travels to assigned events/activities and provides general assistance as needed. Examples may include Dealer Show’s, KJSXC, amateur events, Ride Orange events, etc.
• Attends new product training and/or customer service meetings.
• Evaluates warranty claims for all product concerns including motorcycle and parts; makes sound decisions on warranty requests based on judgment and/or related warranty criteria.
• Provides assistance to other departments as required.
• Maintains work areas and tools in a clean, appropriate, and professional manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Generally, requires a minimum of two (2) years of experience in the motorcycle industry. Prior mechanical/technical experience strongly preferred. Required proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma required. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in related field preferred and/or MMI or VOTEC graduate.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Monitors all incoming customer service request issues.
• Tracks dealer responses and previous actions regarding service concerns.
• Works closely with technical service staff, warranty staff, sales department and others as needed to obtain all relevant information regarding customer service and satisfaction.
• Documents and logs all customer service and satisfaction issues.
• Completes all available product training to technically support the KTM/Husqvarna/GASGAS/WP product line as needed by the dealer and rider.
• Provides the highest level of technical, dealer and rider support via tech line.
• Works with Customer Service Index Administrator with survey concerns.
• Evaluates warranty claims and concerns and makes sound decisions on warranty requests.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Requires a minimum of two (2) years of experience in the motorcycle industry. Requires proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Generally, requires a minimum of two (2) years of experience in Customer Service or Call Center. Prior mechanical/technical experience strongly preferred.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma required.

• Investigates and resolves shipping issues
• Audits freight bills
• Collaborates with import/export related vendors. Includes, but is not limited to, the following:
• Interfaces with customers, brokers, international offices, carriers, etc. Contacts trucking companies to secure space and containers
• Communicates with vendors to enable efficient and cost-effective exportation of product
• Works with 3PL to manage incoming and outgoing shipments along with any special projects
• Approves and processes freight claims
• Conducts logistics reporting and analysis, compiles findings, and makes recommendations to management and other parties as required. Includes, but is not limited, to the following:
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Generally, requires a minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in logistics related role; experience with both domestic and international logistics strongly preferred. Required proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. SAP experience a plus.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in related field required
