Lexology PRO is a fast-growing global legal research platform that provides tools, intelligence and data to in-house lawyers, compliance professionals and private practitioners around the world. It informs its subscribers of legal and regulatory developments, helping users understand the impact on their business with key updates, analysis and multi-jurisdictional data tools and provides practical resources to support them in carrying out legal tasks and achieving operational efficiencies.

This is an exciting opportunity to join as a key member of Lexology PRO's expanding team that develops content and tools designed to help our audience conduct intelligent legal research efficiently, across multiple jurisdictions, work areas and industries. The US editor will be responsible for creating Lexology PRO's content strategy in the USA and line-managing US-based content writers and editors. Together with the managing editor, they will work to grow the audience in the USA.

The successful candidate will be an ambitious, accomplished and highly motivated individual with a demonstrable awareness of, and interest in, legal developments in the USA. The role is suitable for a self-starter capable of building a highly motivated team and content strategy.

The role will be based in the USA and can be carried out from one of Law Business Research's offices in New York, Washington, DC, or Austin. We will consider a remote working arrangement for candidates with the desired experience.

Key Responsibilities
• Create a US content strategy designed to deliver maximum value to readers and attract new ones
• Work with the commercial teams to grow the US audience
• Build, motivate and lead a high-performing team that produces high-quality content
• Own the quality and volume of output across the US team, day-to-day and long-term
• Contribute well-researched ideas for new resources, tools and solutions based on audience needs
• Be the US 'face' of the brand externally by developing and maintaining successful client relationships
• Edit stories written by content writers
• Chair and moderate at brand events and webinars, digitally, locally and globally
• Write high-value content for in-house lawyers and compliance professionals, demonstrating specialist knowledge

Skills, Knowledge And Expertise
• Minimum 5 years' of experience in a senior content position
• Experience in managing teams
• Experience in overseeing content production processes and making improvements to them
• Legal background (education and professional work in a legal setting)
• Demonstrable experience in management of cross-departmental projects
• Demonstrable knowledge of legal research platforms and creation of resources that meet the needs of legal practitioners and/or compliance professionals
