Responsibilities

Utilizing multiple software systems and claims best practices, prepares itemized appraisals indicating costs of parts, materials and labor necessary to restore damaged vehicles to their pre-damage condition. Submits appraisals to claims personnel or issues payments to policyholders and/or claimants. Provides technical advice on vehicle repair, parts costs, garage expertise and opinions on whether specific damage is related to a particular accident. Completes auto repair facility and independent re-inspections, supplements as warranted to verify damage or confirm repairs are completed. Resolves disagreements and negotiates with auto repair facilities, Independent Adjusters, claimants and policyholders. Evaluates claims for potential fraud or subrogation. May be called upon for catastrophe duty All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
• Requirements include knowledge of automobile parts and repair techniques, terminology and vehicle construction

• Explain coverage of loss, assists policyholders with itemization of damages, emergency repairs and additional living arrangements.
• Work with and may coordinate a number of vendor services such as contractors, emergency repair, cleaning services and various replacement services.
• Identify suspicious losses. Recommend referral to the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) where appropriate and may assist the SIU in their investigation and disposition of the claim.
• May be called upon for catastrophe duty.

Actuarial Development Program with first position in North America Actuarial & Analytics. We are seeking an analyst who will be responsible for supporting the US Middle Market Underwriting teams. You will work directly with underwriting, product and actuarial to enhance pricing decisions and influence strategy. This position will be focused on providing high quality analyses and effectively communicating key outcomes to support ongoing/prospective strategies for US Middle Market. As such, the successful candidate will possess strong analytical and communication skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to execute thoroughly in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:
• Maintain status in Actuarial Development Program
• Provide support to actuaries and others by performing analysis to assist business decision making, financial planning, and strategy development.
• Assist in the preparation of actuarial research and complex reports and studies; Communicates and presents findings and exhibits to peers, functional leadership and business leaders.
• Build tools that enhance pricing and influence underwriting strategy.
• Provide clear and concise communication of technical actuarial work to technical and non-technical audiences, and on cross functional teams.
• Retrieves, understands and manipulates data as it relates to assigned and related projects.
• Maintain clear and concise documentation of methods and activities.
• Provide training to underwriters on pricing models, profitability metrics, and other actuarial topics as needed.
• Work with underwriting to provide account level support.
• Collaborate with Casualty and Cross Lines Pricing Teams on tools used by Underwriting.
• Provide guidance and training to less experienced staff.
• Provide actuarial technical assistance and information to other departments.
• Provide recommendations for and assist in the creation and maintenance of actuarial tools.
• Positive progress towards pursuing and passing of required actuarial exams

Qualifications
• Proven math and analytical skills, as normally acquired through the pursuit of a bachelors degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Actuarial Science, or related field
• Commitment to achieving Fellowship in the Casualty Actuarial Society
• Passing grades on a minimum of 2 Casualty Actuarial Exams is required
• Minimum 2-4 years relevant experience required; Prior experience and knowledge of basic actuarial techniques and standards and insurance operations
• Solid oral and written and presentation communication skills
• Solid interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
• Ability to exercise discretion, and apply independent judgment and critical thinking skills in execution of assignments
• Ability to balance multiple projects with some direction
• Intermediate MS Office Excel and SAS skills; Ability to build simple models; Programming skills are desirable

Qualifications

• Negotiation skills; strong oral and written communication skills; able to present to peer and senior contributors
• Minimally assisted consultative skills, including the ability to understand and assist in applying customer requirements
• Thorough understanding of backlog tracking, burndown metrics, and incremental delivery
• Collaboration, prioritization, and adaptability skills required

Training is a critical component to your success and that success starts with reliable attendance. Attendance and active engagement during training is mandatory

Responsibilities:
• Investigates, determines coverage of loss and adjusts all elements of Property Loss claims of high severity.
• Conducts inspections of loss sites, writes appraisals for dwelling repairs and issues payment to policyholders where possible.
• May work with a Liberty network contractor in the appraisal process.
• Ability to independently scope high severity losses and/or large losses.
• Works with Liberty network contractor in the appraisal process of claims and participates in re-inspection of Liberty referred contractors.
• Explains coverage of loss, assists policyholders with itemization of damages, emergency repairs and additional living arrangements.
• Works with and may coordinate a number of vendor services such as contractors, emergency repair, cleaning services and various replacement services.
• Identifies suspicious losses.
• Recommends referral to SIU where appropriate and may assist the SIU in their investigation and settling of the claim.
• May be called upon for catastrophe duty, may assist in management of catastrophe operation, Quality Control of Independents used and may trouble shoot problem and high profile cases.
• For Catastrophe (CAT) roles, investigative fieldwork includes a high amount of travel to claim location.
• Assists in the training of property personnel and serves as a technical resource to the office. May assist in the absence of the Claims Team Manager.
Qualifications
• Requires knowledge of coverages provided within various homeowner policies.
• Demonstrated ability to handle claims of the highest complexity and exposure.
• Effective negotiation skills.
• Ability to effectively and independently manage workload while exhibiting good judgment.
• Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service.
• Strong written/oral communication and interpersonal skills.
• Computer skills with the ability to work with multi-faceted systems, and analytical skills.
• The capabilities, skills and knowledge required is normally acquired through Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and at least 5 years of directly related experience.
• Completion of advanced property training required.
• Ability to obtain proper licensing as required.
