The Sr. Advancement Officer plays a key role in ensuring that these friends of the ministry are served well and also kept informed about various ministry updates and giving opportunities through in-person visits, phone calls, and other communication.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced professional who embodies Ligonier's mission and values and has a passion for sharing them with others. This position is remote and will support various regions throughout the U.S. Travel is required.

In this role you will
• Maintain and deepen relationships with 125–150 active donors in an assigned portfolio
• Make financial requests for unrestricted needs, special projects, capital campaigns, and other outreach opportunities that arise
• Regularly update our donor database to record contact notes and to expand donor profiles
• Assist in surfacing donor prospects for major gifts via research, peer introductions, recommendations, and other relationships through various fundraising channels
• Keep up to date with current fundraising trends, economic landscape, and industry best practices
• Assist with explaining planned giving opportunities, including referring donors to our planned giving partner, or internal special gifts officer
• Participate in special ministry events and fundraising projects as assigned
• Participate in regularly scheduled teleconference meetings with the Ministry Advancement team to review, plan, learn, and evaluate fundraising strategies and efforts to improve results
• Meet regularly with Sr. Leadership to develop strategy, assess progress, enhance fundraising efforts, and make recommendations for improvement
• Collaborate and meet as necessary with Sr. Leadership to support overall fundraising efforts, planned giving, capital campaign, conferencing, and donor event efforts
• Make recommendations to improve department activities and advise on challenges hindering performance
• Maintain accurate and complete records of advancement-related expenses, mileage, invoices, purchase orders, etc. for department budget and reimbursement purposes

Qualifications Include
• At least two years of experience in person-to-person major gift fundraising, including managing a caseload of supporters
• A thorough understanding of Ligonier's mission and a genuine passion for accomplishing it
• Global knowledge of the ministry's various outreaches
• Strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills
• Commitment to Reformed theology and affirmation of Ligonier Ministries’ Core Statement of Faith

Specialist/Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in coordinating meetings, maintaining project documentation, supporting various projects, and ensuring smooth operations across the organization.

Responsibilities:
• Coordinate meetings, including gathering agenda items and creating monthly agendas.
• Attend meetings and diligently document meeting minutes.
• Post meeting notes and action items, and follow up to ensure timely completion.
• Assist with the Project Initiation process, assembling input from intake forms.
• Maintain the Project Portfolio library to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
• Support the Change Management process by maintaining the Change Management Library.
• Assist with business process mapping initiatives, including drafting ProMapp software charts for review.
• Provide project assistance to the Tech Services team, facilitating communication and coordinating tasks.
• Coordinate and analyze Ligonier Quarterly Planning, ensuring effective planning and execution.
• Handle ad-hoc projects related to Ligonier’s digital platforms.
• Provide general administrative support, including reconciling credit cards, booking travel, managing calendars, and processing purchase orders and invoices.
• Set up select in-person meetings with necessary virtual and physical arrangements.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 4 years of experience related to the specified duties and responsibilities, preferably in a project management or operational support role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive.
• Experience with Concur Expense and Travel management software preferred but not required.
