LitCharts, a Learneo company, is looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a passion for building full-stack web applications as part of a small entirely remote team that builds educational products for millions of readers around the world. You’ll be responsible for projects that span across LitCharts and CliffNotes (another Course Hero company), like building out... features that enhance the product, improving user and subscription sign-up flows, maintaining our payment processing platform, all while collaborating with our product and design teams to build the world's best customer-centric literary resource on the web. Are you our next Senior Software Engineer?
• 5+ years of experience working with Ruby, Rails, Postgres, Rspec, Capybara, React, jQuery, SCSS, and Haml
• Experience with Git, Webpack, Heroku, and AWS
• Experience building responsive frontends with a focus on cross-browser compatibility and accessibility
• Experience working with monitoring tools, such as NewRelic, DataDog, and Rollbar
• Ability to work remotely as part of a small team as well as take ownership of projects with minimal guidance
• Strong communication skills and willingness to ask questions and receive feedback.

Bonus Points
• A desire to continuously improve our stack and your own abilities
• A passion for and/or experience with education, education technology, and/or literature.

We are a virtual-first company and have employees dispersed throughout the United States and Canada. We have a market-based pay structure that varies by location. The base pay for this position is dependent on multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed below. You may also be eligible to participate in our bonus program and may be offered an equity award, benefits, and other types of compensation.
This role is eligible for hire anywhere in the US and Canada.
In accordance with California law, the base salary for this role if filled within California is $173,000 - $235,000.
In accordance with Colorado law, the base salary for this role if filled within Colorado is $130,000 - $200,000
In accordance with New York law, the base salary for this role if filled within New York is $130,000 - $223,000.
In accordance with Washington law, the base salary for this role if filled within Washington is $130,000 - $212,000.
