LIU Brooklyn's Department of Social Work includes an undergraduate (BSSW) social work program with approximately 30 declared majors, originally accredited by CSWE in 1999. The graduate (MSW) program, originally accredited by CSWE in 2003, is primarily an evening and weekend MSW program with approximately 200 MSW students. A DSW degree was launched in fall 2022. The MSW program prepares graduates for Clinical and Administrative practice, with concentrations in the following areas: Child and Family Welfare, Forensic Social Work, Gerontology, Not-for-Profit Management, and Substance Use and Other Addictive Behaviors. Although our MSW program is a collaborative program in coordination with LIU's Post Campus, this current faculty posting is specifically for a position located on the Brooklyn Campus. The candidate will have the opportunity to teach across the curriculum in our graduate, doctoral, and undergraduate programs.
