The Fulfillment Associate assists customers, delivery team members, and Installation PROviders by pulling and preparing orders prior to pick up, replenishing shelves for next customers and loading merchandise into their vehicles. To meet the needs of our customers, this associate must feel comfortable engaging in conversations with other associates to ensure correct products are delivered on time. The associate helps ensure that the right products are delivered to our customers by accurately pulling, inspecting and preparing merchandise for delivery or pick up, as well as verifying invoices against loaded products. In addition, the associate ensures deliveries are ready upon truck arrival, and assists with loading merchandise, including large appliances. Safety is critical because this associate lifts and moves merchandise for staff and customers frequently throughout his/her shift.
Travel Requirements: This role does not require regular travel; however, this role may need to travel on occasion to meetings, trainings, or to support neighboring stores.
What We're Looking For
Hourly Full Time or Part Time: Generally scheduled 39 to 40 or up to 25 hours per week, respectively; more hours may be required based on the needs of the store.
Requires morning, afternoon and evening availability any day of the week.
Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.
Minimally must be able to lift 25 pounds without assistance; may lift over 25 pounds with or without assistance.
What You Need To Succeed
Minimum Qualifications
Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction).
6 months of experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
6 months experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets.
Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law.
Preferred Qualifications
6 months retail experience.
6 months of experience in a customer service or product fulfillment position at a home improvement or hardware retailer in related department (eg, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden).
6 months experience in any industry inspecting, carrying, loading, and unloading product or material in or out of vehicles.

Position Summary
In the absence of the Shift Supervisor, the lead position serves as a role model and is responsible for all aspects of the operation within the department to include following all safety rules, company guidelines and GMP’s. Pay Rate: $22.56/hr
Category/Shift: Hourly Full-Time (2nd Shift, Monday – Thursday, 2 pm – 10:30 pm and Friday from 1 pm – 9:30 pm)

The Job You Will Perform:
• Complete pre-start forklift maintenance inspection report (or VCR)
• Complete daily production sheet accurately recording tons received for sort line and shredder
• Complete load sheet to accurately record the grades, bale count, loading start/stop times for finished goods on outbound shipments
• Complete and submit load sheet at completion of shipment
• Follow proper trailer loading and unloading lock-out/tag-out procedure
• Understand and follow load pattern according to trailer, railcar, bale size and weight variables
• Assist with removing finished bales and storing in proper location
• Complete daily PMs for Shredder, Floor Scale debris cleaning and all certified mobile equipment
• Record and input into MRS (Material Receiving System) weights, bin count and bin sizes for each customer
• Completes daily customer receiving log (bin counts, tote counts by customer)
• Forward daily customer receiving log to Operations Specialist for daily entry matching/reconciling
• Dump non-sort material into bunkers
• Dump sorting materials across sort line and push shredded material from shedder baler into bunker
• Inspect/tag equipment (bins, totes or other containers) for:
• Damage
• Maintenance needs
• Proper company logo
• Identification/specification labels
• Assign a trained shredder to shred on an as-needed basis
• Mentor and train new hires as Receiver 1
• Assist with the training of Sorting personnel with respect to grade training
• Validate data accuracy before end of shift by matching driver customer receipts with MRS entry receipts
• Perform other job related duties as assigned

What Does a Yard Loader Do?
• Safety load lumber and building materials into storage facilities
• Stock materials received in appropriate bins or storage locations
• Load lumber and building materials for customers
• Build loads and load trucks for outbound delivery
• Assist customers with loading of lumber and building materials
• Maintain good working relationships with customers, vendors, fellow associates, and management
• Maintain the appearance of the yard and racks
What Does It Take to be Successful as a Yard Loader?
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Construction or building material experience preferred but not required
• Ability to lift up to climb up and down ladders, reach, bend, twist, kneel, lift up to 100 lbs., handle large odd-shaped items, and stock items in overhead areas
• Requires frequent standing and walking
• 1+ year of forklift experience preferred

Each type of loading requires strict attention to order accuracy with respect to loading outgoing trucks and unloading incoming trucks. Works from Electronic order system or order sheets to build loads using a forklift and/or electronic pallet jack. Position is responsible for accuracy in loading and complying with shipper/receiver documentation. Follows warehouse instructions in building loads (). Employees must maintain a clean and safe work environment. Position may be required to work across a wide variety of weather conditions and hours, shift duration depends on work load and may vary daily.
Transport truck loading involves moving full pallets of products from the warehouse onto a trailer and removing any returned pallets/plastic flats. Responsible for unloading raw materials and placing them in designated warehouse space.
Bulk truck loading involves selecting designated packages and flavors of products from the warehouse and loading them onto a pallet. Position is responsible for maintaining the stability of the pallet through proper stacking and shrink-wrapping. In most cases, pallets are loaded onto a trailer for local delivery. Position is responsible for unloading returned products and pallets/plastic flats.
Route truck loading involves selecting designated packages and flavors or pallets of products from the warehouse and loading them into the truck. Product/packages for each truck are customized based on the salespersons order. Position is responsible for unloading returned products and pallets/plastic flats.
Position requires lifting a very high volume of cases of product per day from 20-45 pounds per case repeatedly during a long work period. Requires constant standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting reaching and grasping as product is moved.
PRIMARY JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Drive power pallet jack or forklift to picking area and build pallet/load according to load sheet or voice pick audio equipment (if applicable)
• Mark load ticket for out of stock items
• Wrap pallet when pallet/load is finished
• Turn in paper work with order for check before loading and have truck checked
• Stage pallet and/or load into truck when ready
• Complete partial pallets and put away mixed pallets
• Maintain proper housekeeping standards in work area
• Regular, reliable, predictable attendance
Requirements:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• 18 years or older
HELPFUL EXPERIENCE:
• Experience working in a warehouse environment (e.g., order selector/picking product storage, product staging, powered pallet jack/forklifts, etc.)
• Driving a forklift (e.g., performing basic operations such as driving forwards, driving backwards, lifting and lowering boom, maneuvering in tight areas without damaging product, etc.)
