The London Eye London, GREATER LONDON, SE1 7PB United Kingdom The lastminute.com London Eye River Cruise takes in some of the most famous sites in London, including the House of Parliament, the Tower of London, and Tower Bridge! And we?re looking for enthusiastic River Cruise Hosts to deliver an engaging commentary to help ensure that all our guests receive the most memorable experience during their time with us. About the role As River Cruise The London Eye
London, GREATER LONDON, SE1 7PB
United Kingdom

The lastminute.com London Eye River Cruise takes in some of the most famous sites in London, including the House of Parliament, the Tower of London, and Tower Bridge! And we?re looking for enthusiastic River Cruise Hosts to deliver an engaging commentary to help ensure that all our guests receive the most memorable experience during their time with us.

About the role

As River Cruise Host you?ll be the heart and soul of the live commentary delivered on the lastminute.com London Eye River Cruise. You will provide a professional, efficient and engaging 40 minute commentary to our guests during their tour on the River Thames, suggesting further places of interest and attractions to visit, as well as being on hand to assist our guests with any query they may have. You?ll also have the opportunity to put your own creative spin and flair onto the tour, ensuring that all guests leave entertained and informed.

You?ll be part of... the guests experience from the moment they step on board and you will strive to make every interaction, from as small as saying hello, extraordinary to ensure guests have the best time possible whilst onboard.

As you can imagine, there is a huge health and safety focus when working on the river, and so, working closely with the Captain, you will ensure that safe working practices, particularly with relation to your Muster role, are monitored and any unsafe acts are reported appropriately.

When you?re not actively delivering the commentary, you?ll be supporting the other departments where needed, including upselling our experiences, answering general guest queries, and even training new team members.

This is a permanent position, offering a minimum of 10 minimum guaranteed hours per week, roughly 2 days a week. The London Eye is open daily so full availability is needed, including weekends, evenings and bank holidays.

About you

This is by no means an acting role, but as you will be delivering a script to large audience you will need to be confident and comfortable speaking in public.

Ideally you will have experience in a similar role within the entertainments, hospitality, or events industry. No matter where your previous experience lies, you will embody the idea that the guests are at the heart of everything we do and be prepared to go above and beyond to deliver memorable experiences daily.

Whilst training will be given, a working knowledge of health and safety practices will put you in good stead as you will be responsible for all guest?s safety whilst on board.

As you can imagine, you?ll be expected to work outdoors all year round, in various weather conditions, uniform will of course be provided, but we?ll need to ensure that you are comfortable with this being a part of your role.

We?re a close-knit team here at the London Eye, so we need team players that are happy to help others as well as working independently.

Ultimately, we?re looking for someone who is willing to go above and beyond to help deliver unforgettable experiences that our iconic attraction deserves.

Why join us?

You can also look forward to enjoying a great benefits package including discounts at all of our attractions on food and retail, 40% online LEGO discount, access to an exclusive employee discount and of course you?ll receive a Merlin Magic Pass ? allowing your friends and family free entry into our attractions worldwide!

Perhaps the biggest benefits of joining us, however, are the outstanding opportunities for career development across the expanding group.

Everyone Matters at Merlin.
At Merlin we welcome the world to our magical attractions and resorts every day and we want to reflect that same multicultural mix inside our business too.
