Position Details:

Produce positive sales growth for specific geography or vertical through strategic sales activities.

This position is salaried and will pay between $63,600.00 to $95,500.00 with uncapped commissions.

You Will:

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

QUALITYstarsNY is New York State’s voluntary 5-Star early childhood quality rating and improvement system. Since its inception, QUALITYstarsNY has focused its evidence-based practices to ensure that young children in participating programs have access to excellence and families can trust the level of quality in the program they choose. Assessment, coaching, professional development, and a wide range of resources are made available to each site, enabling QUALITYstarsNY to support early childhood programs to earn higher star ratings.

The Quality Improvement (QI) Specialist is responsible for providing key support in the implementation of QUALITYstarsNY. The QI Specialist is assigned a caseload of participating programs to provide ongoing technical assistance and resources to as part of continuous quality improvement. The QI Specialist works in partnership with the leadership of participating programs to effectively use data to create and implement an individualized Quality Improvement Plan (QIP). The QI Specialist works in their assigned region(s), visiting participating program sites to support their continuous QIP. The central office provides each QI Specialist with the equipment needed to manage extensive record keeping and filing timely reports. QI Specialists also participate in regular virtual meetings and on-site meetings as needed. The Director of Quality Improvement and Regional Quality Improvement Coordinator supervise the QI Specialist. The QI Specialist collaborates with regional QI Specialist teams as well as the central office staff.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership & Case Management
• Deliver on-site/in-person technical assistance and mentoring to program leaders (FCC Providers, Directors, Principals, Supervisors) aligned with QUALITYstarsNY program standards

• Maintain up-to-date Quality Improvement Plans (QIP) in partnership with participants; analyze and monitor progress towards quality improvement

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
• Master’s degree in early childhood education, early childhood administration and supervision or child development
• At least 6 years of experience in similar work, including mentoring and/or early childhood teacher preparation
• Knowledgeable about NYS early learning documents, including the NYS Prekindergarten Learning Standards, NYS Early Learning Guidelines, and the Core Body of Knowledge: New York State’s Core Competencies for Early Educators
• Experience with the Environment Rating Scales (ERS) and designing technical assistance and mentoring based on data and assessment results
• Comprehensive understanding of a variety of early childhood settings, including center, family child care and school-based programs

Family Service League is seeking a full-time client advocate, who will report to the Assistant Program Director and is responsible for conducting client assessments and ultimately assisting clients in achieving self-sufficiency through advocacy, counseling, and resource referrals.

Responsibilities
• Perform intakes for new clients upon arrival to shelter.
• Provide ongoing support and counseling for clients in reaching their goals.
• Abide by FSL’s Code of Ethics. Understand ethical behavior, ensure own behavior and the behavior of others is consistent with these standards and aligns with the values of the organization.
• Establish and maintain positive working relationships with others both internally and externally to achieve the goals of the organization.
• Work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems, and make decisions that enhance organizational effectiveness.
• Negotiate conflict resolution and crisis intervention between clients, if and when, the occasion arises.
• Conduct regular perimeter checks for safety.
• Issue violations for the breaking of rules.
• Accurately report and document in detail all incidences that occur onsite.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor's degree preferred. One-year experience in human services is preferred, but not required. Prior experience working with the homeless population is also preferred. Candidate must possess the ability to multitask and prioritize. Excellent interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills required. The ability to work as part of a team required. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office required. Valid and clean New York State Driver’s License required.

Expectations:
• Login to Teletracking
• Receive Assignments and job requirements
• Pick up patient chart and inform Nursing of transport.
• Complete Transport Communication Sheet.
• Introduce self to patient and explain method of transport and destination.
• Is knowledgeable and can demonstrate safety precautions involving patient transport.
• Upon arrival to destination, report patients’ arrival, deliver patient chart to appropriate personnel and obtain required signatures.
• Discharge Cleaning

Expectations:
• Follow 7 Step Cleaning Procedure in vacated patient area including bed sanitizing ensuring linen is clean, neat and in excellent condition.
• Visually inspects area upon completion of cleaning to ensure appropriate levels of cleaning and neatness have been achieved.
• 0 2 Tanks/Oxygen Usage

Expectations:
• Familiar with possible hazards associated with using oxygen.
• Ensures that oxygen label is correctly displayed and designated medical 0 2 .
• Ensures proper connection prior to initiating the patient transport.
• Familiar with the proper storage of oxygen tanks.
• Uses proper 0 2 holders when transporting a patient.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to frequently lift/carry objects 25-100 lbs.
• Ability to occasionally lift/carry objects more than 100 lbs.
• Ability to occasionally push/pull objects more than 100 lbs.
• Ability to frequently bend, squat, kneel, stoop, crouch and reach.
• Ability to balance and climb steps/ladder and reach above shoulders.
• Ability to stand/walk for a minimum of 95% of the time.
• Ability to work outside in all types of weather conditions, extreme heat/cold, rain, snow

Qualifications

Ability to read and write English in order to verify correct patients assignments and read and interpret labels when preparing cleaning solutions.

Preferred one year on the job experience necessary to learn sanitation principles and techniques, Hospital layout and departmental/Hospital policies and procedures.

Interpersonal skills necessary to be courteous to patients, visitors and staff when performing transporting and housekeeping assignments
