Job Brief:
We are looking for an experienced English teacher to join the bright team for our Katy, Texas office.
If you love English and have the ability to teach the language with patience... and tact, let's meet.
Your main goal will be to create a supportive learning environment that will help Class101 students meet their learning goals.
Through interesting and diverse methods, you'll teach them the critical rules of reading, writing, and building vocabulary in English.
You'll oversee their progress by tracking their assignment and exam grades in order to provide useful feedback.
You have to work with our team of math and science instructors to provide direct instruction to students through either one-on-one or classroom-based prep classes such as the ACT, SAT, and PSAT throughout the year collaboratively.
Job Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Planning course material, worksheets, and activities - Organize classroom lectures and coursework Teach the principles of the English language (including Writing & Grammar rules) through both in classroom-based group test prep classes and/or direct support one to one for students Assign homework and exciting exercises Determine exam test scores, practice test scores, and assignment grades Assessing the students' progress (e.

) Encouraging, motivating, and keeping students on track as they progress through the test prep curriculum Based on assignment grading, determine the strength and weaknesses of the student to help them with improvements through customizing learning plans.
Manage classroom crises and resolve conflict Work with our Center Director to gain expertise in the Class101 curriculum and approach to help students and parents Guiding students through the essay writing process to create and refine primary, supplemental, honors, and scholarship essays Assist the Center Director with proactively increasing our Katy client base through the delivery of sales presentations to potential students, approaching high schools, referrals, and local families Basic Requirements:
Previous experience as an English teacher Knowledge of various teaching methods Deep understanding of the national curriculum and English language requirements Exceptional organizational and communication skills A patient and resilient personality with strong written and verbal communication skills Dedication to students and education Positive attitude, ability to solve problems, and meeting the deadlines Evening and weekend availability required Necessary computer skills like using MS-Excel, MS-Words, Collaboration platform like Google meets/zoom, Social media like Facebook, Instagram Access to fast internet supporting web conference and personal laptop/computer Proactive and fast learner to use new learning platform Diligent with student follow-up and emails Have an ability to engage with students that build a trusted relationship and make the learning experience fun Sales experience to expand the business by assisting in new revenue-generating opportunities BSc/BA in English Language or English Literature; MA is a plus Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assigned Preferred:
