LSE London, a research unit within the Department of Geography and Environment, is pleased to invite applications to the above post, a postdoctoral research position at the level of Research Officer. The post-holder will form part of a small LSE London team evaluating Healthy Homes, Healthy Lives, an Innovate-UK funded project that aims to fund home improvements for low-income owner occupiers. The approach is being piloted in five local-authority areas in London and Brighton, and LSE is the evaluation partner in the HHHL consortium.
The main duties of the post consist of developing a process evaluation framework, designing qualitative post-hoc evaluation tools (including surveys and interview pro formas),conducting qualitative... fieldwork and analysing the results.
The post-holder will be expected to have submitted a PhD thesis for examination by the start date of the post, or other research experience that demonstrates the capability to produce independent original research. Candidates should have research experience in the field of housing policy, housing finance, management, gerontology, or related fields. Strong interest in project evaluation and/or housing for older people and a good knowledge of qualitative research techniques including survey design, interviews and focus groups are essential.

• Experience in research and requirements gathering, analysing data, defining product strategy, user journeys, service maps, logic flows, UI/Interaction design.

After getting hands-on with our existing products and identifying some quick wins, you'll collaborate closely with product, engineering, and the business to develop our roadmaps and plan for the future. Research and Policy Project Manager
Salary from £37,197 to £44,802 pa inclusive with potential to progress to £48,168 pa inclusive of London allowance
This is a 2 year fixed term appointment, with potential to extend subject to further funding
The Grantham Research Institute is a world-leading centre for the study of the economics and social sciences of climate change and other global environmental problems, based at the London School of Economics and Political Science. The Institute’s work has been recognised through the award of the Queen’s Anniversary Prize for Higher and Further Education 2020-22.
Working closely with the GRI sustainable finance team, the role covers a wide range of project management, delivery, communication, and project governance activities. The post holder will provide regular coordination of research and... policy projects liaising with the project team as well as with external partners, funders and policy makers. They will coordinate and document the status of deliverables and decision points for the project team, including those related to work plans, budgets, commissioned work, and reports to funders, and will support co-ordination of research-based policy outputs, dissemination and engagement activities.
Candidates will have a masters degree in the social sciences, and demonstrable work experience in a university environment, or equivalent demonstrable project management experience of policy-oriented research activity. With experience in project coordination and delivery, co-ordinating the activity of others including of those with senior roles, and experience of developing and maintaining records, the post holder will also have excellent organisational skills and an ability to prioritise workloads whilst maintaining high attention to detail and work standards. With excellent communication skills they will also build effective and productive working relations within the team and with project partners.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of professionals who are providing French language tuition to a wide range of students at LSE. This post involves teaching on both the language modules that form part of our BSc programmes and on our non-degree French language programmes. You will be expected to teach some evening classes during term time.
You Will Need To Have
• A Bachelor’s Degree or international equivalent
• A recognised certificate/diploma in teaching modern languages or similar experience
• Knowledge and understanding of the latest developments within modern language teaching and learning
• Knowledge and understanding of historical and current issues in French speaking... countries and communities.
• Experience of using VLEs and developing materials for e-learning (online and on campus)
• Proven track record in designing and developing materials and resources for a range of levels
• A proven track record of teaching French within the UK Higher Education system
• A proven track record in teaching international students
• A proven track record in teaching remotely, including online and blended courses.
• A proven track record of teaching French as a foreign language from beginners to advanced levels in a variety of courses including at Degree Level
