With supervision, interfaces regularly with Regional Marketing and each market's Sales and Marketing groups to keep abreast of marketing and sales plans and anticipate changes that may affect the prepared unit forecasts and adjusts forecast accordingly. With guidance from supervisor, evaluates reasonableness of forecast quantities, unit sales prices and gross margins compared to historical references unique to each assigned market. Develop documentation of sales patterns for use in preparing future product forecasts.
• Under close supervision, prepares and analyzes sales-to-forecast variances by SKU for each assigned market using standard reports to evaluate the reasonableness of the forecasts prepared and to reduce future forecast error along with various other reports designed to test prepared forecasts for reasonableness. Assists in the identification of trends, product sales relationships and other factors that cause sales-to-forecast variances and corresponds with Regional and Local Marketing teams to verify and report the perceived outcome of each promotion. Under close supervision, prepares summary forecast reports for all assigned markets for forecast review meetings. Assists in accumulating the information gathered in the reporting process in a succinct, understandable fashion to the Management team to support forecasts prior to submission to the markets for review and approval.
• Participates in multi-functional consensus forecast review meetings for each assigned market with Regional Marketing and managers from each market's Marketing, Inventory Control, Operations, and Finance groups to discuss their market's plans for a given promotional campaign, overall sales trends, and product supply issues as they relate to SKU demand, sales, and Sales Force forecasts. Summarizes and documents outcome of meetings as forecast rationale to market management after supervisor's review and approval. Assists in ensuring the approved forecast quantities are appropriately entered into the forecast systems. Assists in reviewing ongoing forecast revisions for reasonableness and alerts supervisor of unusual items or discrepancies.
• Under close supervision, initiates and maintains the structure for each assigned market's sales forecast data within the Company's product sales databases once a forecast is approved. This includes verification of part numbers, prices, Bill of Materials, consulting with supervisor to determine consistent categorization of forecast SKU's within designated product lines, and verifying unit product cost data with Cost Accounting. Assists in ensuring the forecast data presented in the Operational Forecast Analysis accurately reflects all approved forecasts and strategic plans.
• With supervisor's direction, assists in the development and design of special product marketing, new product development, ordering pattern, and sales and sales force program analyses as requested by management. Assists in preparing written recommendations regarding the actual or potential performance of proposals by gathering data from various sources and estimating the impact on sales and costs using established modeling techniques. Must develop a basic understanding of the principles of direct selling, be familiar with the beauty industry and product lines, Sales Force career and activity levels and classifications, termination and reinstatement rules, product discount and commission structures, as well as the product sales database, MS Office, and statistical software packages to effectively report outcomes.

• Working knowledge of MS Access and trained in the use of all MS Office tools.
• Communication skills are required to gather data from personnel in various departments with diverse skills and to prepare written reports that are understandable to non-financial readers. Strong PC skills with in-depth knowledge of MS Office tools, specifically MS Excel, PowerPoint and Access. Strong analytical skills required to resolve complex tasks and develop solutions to problems. Knowledge of SQL Query language beneficial.
• Proficiency with statistical modeling, or economic and sales forecasting techniques and applications.
• Experience using Tableau and developing queries preferred, but not required.
• Experience using Agile, or stage-gate systems preferred, but not required.
• Excellent communication and diplomacy skills to interact with non-financial areas within the Company, as well as markets where cultural differences exist. • Picks product orders utilizing computerized pick-to-light system which indicates what items to pick and how many, and into which box they are to be placed. Picks with care ensuring order contains correct items, accurate quantities, and proper arrangement. Must be able to maintain focus in order to pick accurately and efficiently and maintain expected cycle time and quality for the Sales Force.
• Regularly rotates into packing station position. Arranges product in shipping carton prior to adding void fill to minimize damages during transit. Fills void with packing material and guides through top case sealer. Operates a pneumatically controlled pedal to release the appropriate amount of void fill. Regularly rotates into box making position. Takes direction from Line Starter to ensure appropriate box type and sizes are made, ensures adequate supply of appropriate boxes are available for induction. Operates a manual pallet jack to move box supplies where needed.
• Performs miscellaneous duties in the warehouse including filling various order types, performing rework/inspection and inventory counts; and assembling prepacks, Starter Kits, or prizes as needed. As an Order Filler, removes any damaged product from flow racks and places it in a quality assurance box. Records part number and quantity to ensure accurate inventory adjustment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Picks product orders utilizing computerized pick-to-light system which indicates what items to pick and how many, and into which box they are to be placed. Picks with care ensuring order contains correct items, accurate quantities, and proper arrangement. Must be able to maintain focus in order to pick accurately and efficiently and maintain expected cycle time and quality for the Sales Force.
• Regularly rotates into packing station position. Arranges product in shipping carton prior to adding void fill to minimize damages during transit. Fills void with packing material and guides through top case sealer. Operates a pneumatically controlled pedal to release the appropriate amount of void fill. Regularly rotates into box making position. Takes direction from Line Starter to ensure appropriate box type and sizes are made, ensures adequate supply of appropriate boxes are available for induction. Operates a manual pallet jack to move box supplies where needed.
• Performs miscellaneous duties in the warehouse including filling various order types, performing rework/inspection and inventory counts; and assembling prepacks, Starter Kits, or prizes as needed. As an Order Filler, removes any damaged product from flow racks and places it in a quality assurance box. Records part number and quantity to ensure accurate inventory adjustment. Assists with additional projects or assumes additional duties as needed. Maintains a neat and orderly work area and disposes of trash.

Tracks attendance records, completes performance appraisals, addresses performance issues, provides feedback, motivates, counsels and rewards staff. About the Role:
• Reviews purchase signals in JDE for assigned commodities (raw materials or components) to determine the appropriate delivery dates and quantities needed to support the current Master Production Schedule. • Communicates directly with Mary Kay suppliers. Sends each supplier a weekly Open Purchase Order Report via email to ensure that quantities and delivery dates have not changed from the original confirmation. Resolves discrepancies between Mary Kay delivery records and the suppliers' delivery records. Works with the suppliers to expedite deliveries in order to meet increasing or earlier than expected production demands. Ensures that the latest supplier delivery information is updated in JDE. Elevates any supplier quality or customer service issues to Mary Kay management immediately. Along with supervisor, meets with supplier reps when they come in to discuss supplier performance or quality issues.
• Reviews the Shortage Report on a daily basis to identify materials the Planning team has determined are "short". After working with the suppliers, communicates latest delivery information back to the Planning team and updates the Shortage Report with the appropriate information. Working with direct supervision, identifies additional costs associated with expediting material in for production and elevates that to management for approval to proceed. Also verifies that sub-assemblies are available for local contract suppliers and requisitions the sub-assemblies for delivery.
• Reports on a weekly and monthly basis the status of assigned commodities in relation to established inventory policies and department metrics. Responds to items on the Supply Demand Report and provides updates by the established deadlines. Working under general supervision, identifies opportunities to reduce inventory costs by reviewing the De-Expedite Report and taking the appropriate action to cancel, reduce, or move out purchase orders if possible, and reviews the Excess Inventory Report and updates it with what actions have been taken to reduce or eliminate excess inventory.
• Works with Mary Kay Transportation to ensure that commodities are being picked up at the suppliers in time to meet required delivery dates. Identifies priorities for the Mary Kay Warehouse Receiving team by putting the most urgent items on the "Hot List". Monitors the delivery of urgently needed items and communicates with the Quality Department to prioritize which items need to be tested and released to meet immediate production.
