About the Role: This Office Manager role
Abrams Media, which owns and operates four media properties, is hiring an Office Manager. The sites, which include Mediaite.com (news/politics), LawandCrime.com and the Law&Crime Network (true-crime/legal news), Whiskey Raiders (whiskey reviews), Rum Raiders (rum reviews), Tequila Raiders (tequila reviews) and Gin Raiders (gin reviews) are founded by Dan Abrams, Chief Legal Affairs Anchor for ABC... About the Role: This Office Manager role is essential to keeping the companies running smoothly. The person in this position will need to keep an accurate account of all finances for freelancers, clients, and services. He/she must be flexible, organized and well-versed in G Suite and Microsoft Office.
The role reports directly to the COO and must be prepared to complete tasks such as:
• Manage freelancers and production expenses
• Manage payroll
• Post jobs, lead the hiring process.
• Onboard new employees.
• Process invoices, send out purchase orders, deposit checks.
• Send/distribute mail.
• Post office runs.
• Keep office supplies stocked.
• Provide basic technical support (emails, printers)
• Research and analyze documents as needed.
• Work remotely when needed, wait for contractors and supervise work.
• Miscellaneous requests as they arise.
Required Qualifications:
• Flexibility - able to handle tasks both in office and offsite as they arise during the work day.
• Proficient in Excel / Google Sheets.
• Supreme organizational skills.
• Comfortable with data -- you'll be working with financial data and site user data.
• Independence -- you must be comfortable tackling and researching problems/solutions on your own with little guidance.
• Experience with QuickBooks a plus, but not required.
Salary:
• $35,000-$45,000 plus benefits and vacation time.
