The TV2 IPTV Support Engineer will primarily be responsible for supporting TV2’s IPTV customers that are based throughout North America.
Role and responsibilities:
• Lead the investigation and isolation of unique and challenging problems within operator’s IPTV and OTT Streaming networks
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
• Delivery of support within defined service level agreements
• Define methods and processes to lead both customers and internal resources
• Report software bugs and remediation to monitoring development teams
• Ability to communicate effectively to technical and management staff
• Ability to work independently, remotely and within a team of seasoned Mediaroom and video engineers
• Ability to work in an on-call rotation for off-hours customer support
Requirements
The candidate will demonstrate technical aptitude and understanding in the following areas:
Mediaroom:
• 1-3 years of experience with Mediaroom products with fundamental knowledge of all major subsystems including Live, VOD, ADI, Metadata, DVR and PKI, and Mediaroom Clients
• 1-3 years of experience with Microsoft Windows Servers in a troubleshooting capacity specifically on Active Directory, Windows Failover Clustering, Web Services, Hyper-V, SQL Server
• Experience with Microsoft System Center Tools; Operations Manager, Configuration Manager, Virtual Machine Manager
• Experience with PowerShell script execution and script creation to support automated deployment tools
• 1-3 years of experience troubleshooting issues on the Mediaroom platform, reviewing log files that are Mediaroom specific along with experience reviewing IIS logs
• 1-3 years of experience configuring Mediaroom using the various configuration XML files, order of operations to ensure changes are enacted and ensuring maximum uptime requirements
• Working knowledge of application and network layer redundancy

OTT Streaming:
• 1-3 years of experience working with various Linux distributions
