TEAM OVERVIEW
M&A Structuring, is an entrepreneurial group with an apprenticeship culture that advises clients on complex transactions. The team works jointly with classic and product coverage teams throughout the deal lifecycle: idea generation, pitch, and execution. Common topics covered by M&A Structuring include strategic alternatives, deal structuring, valuation, tax, accounting, securities law, stock exchanges, and deal marketing. The team’s mission is to work seamlessly with client teams to provide specialized and differentiated advice across industries.
Practice Areas:
• Focuses on a wide spectrum of transactions including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, break-ups, SPACs, joint ventures, and financings
• The team has over two decades of continuous structuring achievements to benefit the firm’s clients, including being an unparalleled leader in US spin-offs, split-offs, and innovative M&A structuring
Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience
• Tax, accounting, legal or investment banking experience preferred
• History of outstanding academic and professional achievement
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Experience in drafting and preparing presentations for senior management
• Competency with Excel
• Ability to work cross-functionally and build relationships internally and externally

Position Description: The Analyst position at Moelis offers exposure to all aspects of the GP-led secondary market including single- and multi-asset continuation vehicles, tender offers, structured preferred equity solutions, and NAV loans, GP stake sales, and various other financing solutions for sponsors and their portfolio companies. The Analyst will work closely with professionals throughout the firm to deliver high quality advice to clients.
