For 35 years, award-winning METROPOLIS Magazine has covered architecture, interiors, product and graphic design, urban planning and preservation. We are currently looking for summer interns (June thru August).
Our ideal intern has the following...
• Excellent research and writing skills
• Digital journalism skills -- be it written, photo, audio, or video
• Familiarity with a variety of social media platforms
• A strong interest in and/or

Our ideal intern has the following...
• Excellent research and writing skills
• Digital journalism skills -- be it written, photo, audio, or video
• Familiarity with a variety of social media platforms
• A strong interest in and/or knowledge of design and architecture
• Resourcefulness and strong initiative
• A strong visual/design sensibility
• The ability to be a team player and respond to feedback (editorial and otherwise)
• Good organizational skills
• Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
Interns work closely with all levels of staff and all departments at Metropolis. There is an opportunity for editorial contribution (writing short articles, blog posts, audio/video content, captions, table of contents copy) and to attend all Metropolis Magazine sponsored events, lectures and trade shows. Intern duties include, but are not limited to:
• Contributing to the web site
• Conducting magazine story research and fact-checking
• Assisting with posting of our site and social media
• Performing some administrative duties:
• Updating and organizing office files and library
• Coordinating materials for tradeshows, contests and events
• Archiving materials; Digitizing Archives
