Enterprise Enabling Services are common, complex, and critical services which contribute towards making McGraw Hill digital ecosystem foundation stronger and more robust. These services also provide consistent and repeatable patterns that accelerates our ability to create great educational experiences across different platforms for all different customer personas.
This role requires both product ownership of the development team(s) and leadership of cross-functional coordination for implementation, while building trust across teams of technologists, business stakeholders, and customer-facing staff. You will operate in an environment that requires excellent problem-solving skills and exceptional team collaboration, facilitation, and communication skills. You will individually focus on applying creative and analytical approaches to any challenge, leveraging both your team’s input and that of your stakeholders.
What will you do?
• This position is the product manager for software development team(s) building Enterprise Enabling Services and Tooling – primarily focused on Identity, Organizational data, Rostering, Product definitions, Authorization, Product Licensing, suite of Admin Tools etc.
• Draft agile epics and stories, with prioritized features and specifications, while incorporating inputs from all stakeholders and ensure release goals and commitments are understood by all affected teams.
• Partner with Product Managers and Engineering Leadership to ensure a manageable scope that can be delivered on-time, on-budget, with-quality. Oversee the care and feeding of the platform, ensure all aspects of the platform receive attention, including technical debt and infrastructure as well as new features.
• Partner with the product leadership and business to develop a vision, strategy, and prioritized feature backlog for digital product(s)/platform.
• Manage defect triage and resolution in partnership with peer TPMs, business partners or customer support teams.
What can you bring to the role?
• 3 - 5 years’ experience leading Agile-based, software product development teams.
• Successful in leading and collaborating across teams of technologists and customer-facing teams located in different countries and time zones.
• Capable of writing requirements for API-based solutions; enjoy collaborating closely with Engineering.
• Proven database expertise, to include ability to perform queries in MySQL SQL Editor, Toad, and/or pgAdmin
• Deadline‐conscious, results‐driven, and high‐performance in a high‐intensity environment.
• Acute attention to detail, the ability to analyze complex systems and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Experience managing dynamic projects with competing resources and priorities.
• Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and organizational communication skills; must be able to communicate with technical teams and business stakeholders in a multi-cultural environment, as well as clearly document software for these audiences.
• Demonstrate people skills; must be able to collaborate effectively with diverse personalities and skill sets and enjoy constructive conflict.

The pay range for this position is between $100,000 - $115,000 annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. An annual bonus plan may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered.
