About the Role
We are seeking a Project Manager for our office in New York who will be the lead role in planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and completing projects.
Your daily responsibilities will be primarily concerned with, but not limited to the below:
· Collaborate and manage workflow with multiple team members, offices, partners, and other stakeholders
· Develop and implement project planning and coordination between local and international offices
· Building project timelines and establishing efficient workflow processes
· Create long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines
· Organize and track project details including progress updates and budget expenditures and
· Overall management e across multiple projects simultaneously and timely completion of quality project execution
· Develop grant proposals and reports for development projects
· Report to the Executive Director and Program Director
About You
You have exceptional organizational, communication, and people skills, with a strong ability to multi-task and work collaboratively with offices in Kenya and remote team members, as the projects grow and evolve.
· Proactive, deadline-oriented, and experience with juggling multiple project deliverables
· You have strong problem-solving and time management skills
· You are an excellent writer in a variety of mediums, and comfortable executing the organization’s mission and goals externally in your communications.
· You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, wearing many hats.
· You are detail-oriented and self-motivated
· You are proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suites of products
· You are comfortable with database management and CRM software – experience e-Tapestry (Blackbaud) or Peak15 is a plus.
You possess the following:
· Bachelor’s Degree with a strong preference for experience in International Development, Public Administration, Non-profit management, Community Health or related field
· 7+ years of relevant work experience
· Interest in education and/or youth empowerment
