Job Description

The Director, Analytics leads the development of data-driven solutions for clients – including report automation, analysis, and insight – with the objective of optimizing the performance of media initiatives. You will manage our client's data and insight delivery processes, inspire creativity, and ensure all around team success.

We are looking for someone who is execution-focused and manages data challenges in all phases of media performance. Your success requires the ability to manage complexity while collaborating across our teams, experience within a matrixed organization, and comfort with a lean operating environment that uses automation.

You will have a natural curiously, going beyond reporting to peel away the layers of data to suggest constructive tests, advanced analytics engagements, consumer deep dives, and competitive opportunities that help improve performance. Complete overall media measurement strategy on behalf of clients, including reporting, measurement, learning agendas, and test design. You will report to the VP Analytics. This position is hybrid with 2 days a week in our NY or CT office.
• You will understand core client challenges, and develop relevant measurement frameworks that outline measures of success, in-flight optimization levers, and learning priorities
• You will work with internal and client teams to identify business needs and analytics opportunities, developing tools, dashboards, and techniques to optimize media performance
• You will guide the creation of reporting through automated processes, consolidating data from many sources into a cohesive view of performance. Develop measurement frameworks.
• You will improve the quality of reporting by creating easy to follow weekly or monthly visual dashboards that important partners will utilize to make informed decisions
• You will ensure understanding between daily analytics support and approved measurement frameworks
• You will prepare and deliver executive-level presentations for internal and external audience
• You will participate in team-wide culture of learning by staying current on current industry trends, developments in methodologies and technologies
• You will manage/mentor junior team members

Qualifications
• 8+ years of experience of Media ecosystem knowledge in major platforms (Google, Facebook, Adobe, Salesforce, Oracle) and digital channels (Search, Display, Social, Video and Email)
• Foundational Experience with Mobile and Video advertising in Paid Social and Display
• Experience using data visualization and modeling tools such as SQL, Python, R, AWS, GCP, Azure, and BI and visualization tools, such as Tableau
• Experience designing and measuring media and audience-based tests
• Understanding of digital planning and buying, with a focus on standard media metrics
• Previous experience aggregating data from multiple sources
• Previous experience with data from digital media platforms
• Demonstrate understanding of digital tagging, tracking, and QA
• Knowledge of Google Analytics/Omniture
• Knowledge of Datorama, Tableau, Google Data Studio, or any similar dashboard products
• Knowledge of digital attribution methods, marketing mix modeling, measurement frameworks, indicator discovery, tracking implementation
• Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in statistics, economics or related quantitative field required

The anticipated salary range for this position is $94,000-$152,375. Salary is based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law. The Director of Commercial Analytics & Insights will play a critical role in the success of the CSL Seqirus NA Commercial Operations organization and is responsible for building and leading the group’s first Analytics and Insights team.

You will focus on Forecasting, Salesforce Optimization, and ROI/Impact analyses and will lead the assessment and development of adapting vendor methodologies to ensure they meet the needs of a vaccine's organization, which requires an understanding of the US Vaccines market and Advanced Analytics methodologies.

The Role:
• Responsible for leading an Analytics & Insights team focused on the integration of insight and analysis to drive the US Commercial business.
• Lead the development of an innovative long-term advanced analytics strategy that will generate insights to inform, advise, and refine US commercial strategy & tactics.
• Identify Analytics solutions for key strategic needs/questions to support the full book of business in the US.
• Responsible for the presentation of results and providing recommendations to the Brand Team and Sr. Leadership.
• Responsible for designing a forecasting strategy for Seqirus North America.
• Survey all existing short- and long-term forecasts that are built through the year. The goal will be to evolve annual Forecasting Calendar to deliver necessary forecasts throughout the year.

Audience building: 1st point of contact for ADUSA and agency partner teams looking to use customer data in brand marketing
• Participate in data strategy discussions with brand and external agency teams, vetting and recommending 1st party audiences to address business problems and campaign briefs
• Create audience segments in our tech stack according to campaign needs, validate logic and confirm appropriate scale for targeting - automating processes where possible to improve accuracy and speed
• Partner with media execution teams to ensure effectiveness of audiences measurement through testing to then iterate and improve performance across campaigns
• Refine standard performance and testing processes and strategies to guide ADUSA brands and external agencies on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd party data

Measurement: Leverage audience and paid/addressable campaign exposure data in our Marketing tech stack to grow media and targeting performance
• Lead reporting on campaign exposure/overlap across brands and agencies to understand media efficiencies and improve targeting
• Use measurement tools (media mix modeling, multi-touch attribution, A/B testing, etc.) to understand performance of individual audiences and build historical norms and standard methodologies across all brands
• Communicate insights and recommendations to drive action and inform media planning and business goals

Strategy: Proactively establish relationships across internal ADUSA teams and with external vendors - using their expertise and partnership to advance marketing technology initiatives
• Lead and grow brand/ agency relationships by learning about their business, responding to requests, and acting as a strategic partner
• Work with analytics teams to learn about our customers, how they engage with each brand, and identify the audience targeting opportunities
• Research and develop POVs to advance ADUSA’s martech capabilities, and internal groups to put these plans in motion

Candidates will be expected to have familiarity with application of analytics in the Life Sciences and Biopharma domain, across Commercial Analytics and RWD Analytics use cases such as:

• Knowledge of the Biopharmaceutical domain. Prior experience in analytics for specialty medicine/biologics/rare disease and Oncology is a significant asset.
• Exposure to syndicated data sets including Claims, EMR/EHR data and exposure to/experience working with large data sets.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including sound knowledge of statistical concepts and predictive modeling/machine learning.
• Demonstrated ability to frame and scope business problems, design the right solutions, and deliver results.
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills, including superior visualization, storyboarding, and presentation skills.
