What role you will play in our team
• The U.S. State Government Relations Senior Advisor serves as ExxonMobil’s principal point of contact with the governors’ office, state legislators, statewide elected and appointed officials, as well as numerous third-party organizations, including trade and business associations in the Appalachia Region (multiple states)

About you

Skills and Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree

• Excellent written and oral communication skills with an ability to understand and communicate complex issues

What role you will play in our team

Exxon Mobil Corporation (“ExxonMobil”) is seeking to hire experienced transactional attorneys for its legal team in Houston, Texas. These attorneys will work with a team of experienced lawyers to support one or more of ExxonMobil’s Upstream and Product Solutions (Downstream and Chemicals), businesses on a wide variety of transactional, commercial, regulatory and operational matters, including but not limited to, the negotiation, drafting and implementation of agreements supporting a wide variety of transactions and operations (e.g., acquisition, joint venture, operating, and divestiture agreements) and goods and services contracts (such as EPC, drilling, and various equipment and materials purchase contracts). The attorneys will work closely with assigned clients, often on a daily basis, with oversight from more experienced attorneys where required.
What you will do
• Provide day-to-day legal support for ExxonMobil business units, developing relationships with key business leaders to drive positive business results
• Support and lead a wide range of commercial transactions, including joint ventures, acquisitions, divestments, and other strategic transactions
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, including M&A, joint venture and partnership agreements; customer and supplier agreements; EPC, project financing, and other project-related agreements; and goods and services contracts
• Conduct and coordinate research into a variety of legal issues, providing legal analysis and counsel to business leaders that anticipates and helps mitigate legal risks
• Work closely with other teams within the ExxonMobil Law Department and other ExxonMobil functional groups (e.g., tax, regulatory, and finance functions)
• Interface with outside counsel on significant transactions, regulatory matters, and disputes
About you

Skills and Qualifications
• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Strong college and law school record (top 1/3 of class preferred)
• Licensed to practice law in at least one state (Texas bar membership strongly preferred)
• Strong transactional background
• Strong research and writing skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant legal experience, at least partially with a major law firm, corporate legal department, or government agency
• High ethical standards and integrity
• Strong analytical skills and ability to exercise sound business judgment
• Ability and desire to work independently and as a member of an integrated team
• Able and willing to travel domestically and internationally in support of client transactions

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience
• Transactional experience in the energy industry
• Experience drafting and negotiating agreements for complex transactions, including M&A transactions, joint ventures, investments, and other strategic transactions
• Project finance experience on major energy or infrastructure projects
• Experience managing legal compliance issues (e.g., antitrust, anti-corruption and trade law matters)
• Demonstrated record of leadership and initiative
• Foreign language proficiency is a plus
• Record of pro bono experience

What role you will play in our team

The Capital Markets & Global Cash Management team performs all global capital markets and cash management activities for ExxonMobil, including capital and liquidity analysis, bank and rating agency relationships, foreign exchange risk management and trading, cash management/positioning, short term investing, and capital markets transactions (term debt, commercial paper, tax-exempt remarketing, equity share buy-back).

We are seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Treasury Manager – Foreign Exchange and Interest Rate Exposure to be located at the Houston Campus of Exxon Mobil Corporation in Spring, TX.
What you will do

The Treasury Manager – Foreign Exchange and Interest Rate Exposure will report to the Americas Treasury Center Manager and have the following responsibilities:
• Develop and execute strategies to manage foreign exchange and interest rate exposure for the company, aligned with the organization's risk tolerance and financial objectives.
• Responsibilities include exposure identification, developing and executing hedging strategies, reporting, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and internal policies and procedures
• Collaborate with internal partners, such as Business Finance, Financial Accounting, and Risk Compliance teams to identify and assess exposure risks and develop appropriate risk management strategies
• Establish and maintain relationships with external banks, financial institutions, and counterparties to facilitate hedging transactions and ensure competitive pricing and terms
• Implement and manage the company's hedging programs, including execution of derivative contracts, documentation, and reporting
• Analyze and interpret financial data to determine the optimal hedging instruments, structures, and timing for execution. Monitor and analyze the impact of hedging activities on financial statements, cash flows, and key performance indicators
• Conduct periodic portfolio reviews and performance evaluations of existing hedging programs to assess effectiveness and recommend adjustments as necessary
• Provide expertise and guidance on foreign exchange and interest rate risk management to senior management and other stakeholders
• Assist in developing presentations that effectively communicates FX and interest rates risk management information to VP Tax and Treasurer, CFO and Board of Directors
• Monitor global market conditions, regulatory changes, and industry trends that may impact foreign exchange and interest rate risk management
About you

Skills and Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in treasury management, specifically focusing on foreign exchange and interest rate risk management
• Strong knowledge of financial markets, derivative instruments, hedging strategies, and risk management techniques
• Proven track record of successfully implementing and managing hedging programs in a large corporate environment
• Experience in negotiating and managing relationships with banks, financial institutions, and other external partners
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and make informed decisions
• Experience interacting with senior executive management and external partners
• Experience building and leading high performing teams
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience
• MBA or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting
• Knowledge of commodities markets
• Knowledge of institutional banking and payment systems
• Working knowledge of Bloomberg and Treasury Management Systems
• Experience with Corporate Treasury FX trading platforms such as 360T
