What You'll Do

Position Overview

As a Senior Product Designer at Osmosis, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the experience of our platform across web and mobile. You will be joining a newly-formed Design team, collaborating closely with 1-2 other designers on various product efforts with the unified goal of making crypto more accessible and inclusive through human-centered design. Responsibilities
• Lead the design process from concept to implementation, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience across web and mobile platforms.

• Mentor and support junior designers (as the team grows), providing guidance, feedback, and opportunities for growth and development.

Requirements
• 6+ years of experience shipping applications and software, with a strong portfolio showcasing your expertise in product design for web and mobile.
• Deep understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and interaction design.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions, present solutions to stakeholders, and receive feedback with openness and humility.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, critical-thinking skills, and attention to detail.
• Experience building and maintaining design systems with a component-based architecture that correlates seamlessly with frontend systems.
• (Bonus) Experience working in the Web 3 space, with a passion for crypto and decentralized finance.

About the Role:

The main mission of a person in this role is to continuously improve the developer experience of using and building on the open source protocol to maximize the value of the Osmosis ecosystem.

What you could work on:

Tactical Component (20%)

• Produce high quality technical documentation e.g. API docs, cookbooks, code examples and tutorials

Strategic Component (80%)

• Event Planning and Management: Planning, organizing, and executing events such as hackathons (both online and offline), meetups, and workshops to engage with the developer community and promote the platform

• Build Partnerships with devtools vendors e.g. Tenderly/Hardhat/Alchemy and deployment service providers e.g. Alchemy to make it painless for developers to build and deploy in/using your platforms
• Identifying ways to enhance existing devtools and deployment
• Run developer grants and incentives programs to attract devs
• Providing product features, ux, prioritization input to Osmosis product team based on dev feedback
• Hire strategically from the talented developer community based on their contribution and specialized skills.
• Grow the developer community building on Osmosis as measured by engagement on Discord, Telegram etc.
• Partner with Developer DaO, Gitcoin and other web3 and web2 dev communities.
• Developer Education: The focus is on educating developers about the platform, its capabilities, and how to build on it.
• Developer Enablement: Creating an environment that enables developers to build on the platform through support, tools, documentation, and resources.

You may be a fit to this role if you:
• Have Smart Contract Development experience in Rust, Cosm-Wasm
• Have full stack web3 software development understanding including Go, Rust, React, Typescript, familiar with Cosmos-SDK
• Have experience building a developer community
• Have experience with technical/developer outreach

• Have a significant social media presence (Twitter, Telegram, Discord)

• Write realistic clinical vignettes and comprehensive explanations that follow the Osmosis style guide, including adhering to Osmosis standards for inclusive language

• Work with medical illustration team to create images and figures highlighting important medical concepts or disease processes

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced marketing leader who can develop a marketing strategy, interface with community, handle media comms, branding, and events.

What you could work on:

The ideal candidate should have experience in crypto, preferably at a decentralized exchange, in:
• Developing and executing comprehensive communication strategies for the Osmosis Foundation to interact with the Osmosis community across various channels, such as social media, content marketing, email, and events regarding Foundation activities
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams within the Osmosis Foundation team, including product, engineering, growth, and community management
• Building a marketing team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to team members.
• Overseeing the development of collateral, including website content, blog posts, white-papers, presentations, and social media assets, to effectively communicate the platform's value proposition.
• Developing and maintaining relationships with industry influencers, media outlets, and strategic partners to enhance brand visibility and thought leadership in the DeFi space.
• Staying up-to-date with market trends, competitor activities, and user preferences to inform marketing strategies and drive continuous improvement.
• Planning and executing community-building initiatives, such as webinars, meetups, and online events.

You may be a fit to this role if you have:
• 5+ years of experience in marketing leadership roles, preferably within the blockchain, DeFi, or fintech industry.
• Experience working with community and working with decentralized autonomous organizations.
• A proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns that drive user acquisition and engagement.
• A strong understanding of the DeFi ecosystem, user personas, and market dynamics.
• Expertise in digital marketing channels, including social media, content marketing, SEO/SEM, and email marketing.
• Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives around complex concepts.
• Analytical mindset and proficiency in marketing analytics tools, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

Position Overview

As a Senior Product Designer at Osmosis, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the experience of our platform across web and mobile. You will be joining a newly-formed Design team, collaborating closely with 1-2 other designers on various product efforts with the unified goal of making crypto more accessible and inclusive through human-centered design. Responsibilities
• Lead the design process from concept to implementation, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience across web and mobile platforms.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, marketing, support, executive leadership, and other stakeholders, to define design requirements and translate user needs into elegant solutions.
• Tackle complex end-to-end user flows and create something useful, easy, and elegant for our ever-growing diverse user base of beginners, "degens", and pros.
• Conduct user research, interviews and surveys, usability testing, and analysis to gather insights and inform design decisions.
• Iteratively build and maintain a robust design system, and in collaboration with our frontend devs, define corresponding processes that help our product and team scale.
• Evolve the visual design language of the brand and distill a harmonious aesthetic across the UI, maintaining consistency and coherence across all touchpoints.
• Build charming interactions and animations that enhance user engagement and leave a lasting impression.
• Mentor and support junior designers (as the team grows), providing guidance, feedback, and opportunities for growth and development.

Requirements
• 6+ years of experience shipping applications and software, with a strong portfolio showcasing your expertise in product design for web and mobile.
• Deep understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and interaction design.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions, present solutions to stakeholders, and receive feedback with openness and humility.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, critical-thinking skills, and attention to detail.
• Experience building and maintaining design systems with a component-based architecture that correlates seamlessly with frontend systems.
• (Bonus) Experience working in the Web 3 space, with a passion for crypto and decentralized finance.

Role Description:

We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer with a strong interest in blockchain technology to join our Osmosis Data team. As a Backend Engineer, you will play a critical role in building data pipelines and developing API-based backend services.

You will collaborate closely with other engineering teams to support their data requirements and ensure our data systems are robust, scalable, and efficient, enabling all the product innovation we have planned to deliver in Osmosis.

What you could work on:
• Helping design, implement, and operate data-intensive microservices from the ground up.
• Building and maintaining data processing pipelines that extract and process data from the osmosis blockchain.
• Developing and maintaining secure and scalable backend services and APIs.
• Designing a real-time streaming system capable of listening to and reacting to real-time blockchain data and events.
• Contributing to improving our protocol's observability by developing tools for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on key metrics and behaviors (e.g., incentives).
• Debugging and troubleshooting production issues with our data platform.

You may be a fit for this role if you:
• Have at least 4 years of professional software development experience in building and maintaining data-intensive applications.
• Possess a solid understanding of Backend and Data Engineering principles and best practices.
• Have strong experience with relational and non-relational databases, time-series databases, queueing systems (such as Kafka), and API design.
• Have strong programming skills, preferably in Go, Python, and/or Rust.
• Are familiar with cloud data services and infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP).
• Have a strong understanding of distributed systems and how they can be operated at scale.
• Have experience in running and operating production workloads.
• Are passionate about blockchains and decentralized technology.
• Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
• Demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving and ownership of tasks.

Experience that will set you apart:
• Previous experience working on high-scale, highly critical data systems, preferably in DeFi or TradFi.
• Proven record of driving processes from start to production, demonstrating the ability to lead initiatives from the conceptual phase through to successful operational deployment.
• Familiarity with the Cosmos SDK stack.
• Contributions to open-source data projects.
• Experience working in remote and globally distributed teams.

About The Role

Osmosis is seeking a talented and motivated Senior Front-End Engineering with experience in developing web applications. You will be leading the front-end engineering team that’s working on the DEX interface.

Osmosis is a web application that is the portal to cross-chain decentralized finance, allowing people to access and transact with digital assets across multiple blockchains. You will define requirements, iterate on software solutions, and deliver valuable features that will bring crypto asset management to the mainstream. We’re looking for a motivated and versatile engineering manager with strong people management skills and in-depth front-end engineering experience.
• Implement a new Osmosis front-end that implements the UI Designer's front-end design
• Work with and be comfortable enough with Cosmos-specific formats and APIs to effectively implement front-end logic that translates visual language into a seamless and user-friendly UI
• Influence key decisions on architecture design, performance improvements, and UI/UX improvements
• Iterate quickly without compromising quality and raise the bar on operational excellence
• Assist engineers through code reviews, acceptance testing, bug fixing, and general support

We're looking for someone that has
• BS/MS in a technical field such as Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of software engineering experience
• 2+ years of experience managing a team
• Track record of delivering products within a rapidly changing, multi-stakeholder environment, in a sector that never sleeps
• Experience with web 3.0 and blockchains
• Experience working with and in OSS
• Experience with distributed systems
• Experience with React.js and Typescript (extra points for MobX/GoLang)
• Excellence in communicating internally as well as with external stakeholders and community
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent feature requests and updates
• Good understanding of high-level application architecture and object-oriented programming
• Keen eye for good design
• Clear and concise written and oral English communication skills (bonus points if you speak Korean)
