Morning Consult is looking to hire a creative, curious and analytical Senior Product Designer to define and deliver high-quality, user-centered solutions that help some of the world’s most important institutions make better, faster, data-driven decisions. Specifically, this role is responsible for collaborating with Analytics Product and Engineering counterparts to create team roadmaps that support the company’s vision and objectives. The Senior Product Designer will also lead or support user research and discovery processes and create wireframes, user flows and high-fidelity mock-ups that incorporate research findings, stakeholder feedback and technical constraints.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
• Identify, then lead or support, new user research and discovery activities—including directly with our clients—to develop a thorough understanding of user needs
• Incorporate research findings, stakeholder feedback and technical constraints into high-fidelity mock-ups and to support your design decisions
• Use wireframes, diagrams and prototypes as a method to facilitate research, cross-discipline collaboration and decision-making
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering counterparts to refine problems, brainstorm solutions and create team roadmaps that support the portfolio vision and company objectives
• Work closely with the engineers to ensure the technical feasibility of your ideas and accurate implementation of your designs
• Iterate rapidly against shifting priorities, while managing deadlines and project timelines
• Participate in team critiques, culture and growth with other Product Designers

Desired Skills:
• 5+ years of experience as a UX or Product Designer
• BA/BS degree in Design (e.g. Interaction, Graphic, Visual Communications, Product), HCI, CS or a related field or equivalent practical experience
• Online portfolio demonstrating user-centered design skills; visualizations of complex experiences such as flows, scenarios, personas, etc.; examples of wireframing, iterative design and high-fidelity finished mockups
• Experience working with developers in an agile environment
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills — this role requires evangelizing UX best practices and demoing new features to a variety of stakeholders
• Adept at creatively solving problems
• Experience visualizing quantitative data preferred, but not required
• Ethos of continuous self-improvement; actively works to become more fluent in user-centered design processes, information architecture, interaction design, prototyping and UX principles and techniques
